Oxfordshire is a county in South East England. The ceremonial county borders Warwickshire to the north-west, Northamptonshire to the north-east, Buckinghamshire to the east, Berkshire to the south, Wiltshire to the south-west and Gloucestershire to the west.
Twickenham is a suburban town in West London, England. It lies on the River Thames and is 10 miles (16 km) west-southwest of Charing Cross, 2 miles (3.2 km) south-east of Hounslow, and 2.6 miles (4.2 km) north-west of Kingston upon Thames. Historically part of Middlesex, it has formed part of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames since 1965. The population of the town, including its localities St Margarets and Whitton, was 62,148 as of 2011.
The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in southwest London forms part of Outer London and is the only London borough on both sides of the River Thames. It was created in 1965 when three smaller council areas amalgamated under the London Government Act 1963. It is governed by Richmond upon Thames London Borough Council and is divided into nineteen wards.

The River Crane, a tributary of the River Thames, is a river running through west London, England. It is 8.5 miles (13.6 km) long and flows entirely within Greater London. The Crane flows through three London boroughs: Hillingdon, Hounslow and Richmond upon Thames. Although the drainage basin is heavily urbanised, the Crane Valley is one of the few river corridors within London that provides a continuous belt of semi-natural habitat. However, in common with many urban rivers, the Crane's natural morphology has been significantly altered over the years by river engineering works such as widening, straightening and bank reinforcement.
Waldegrave School is a secondary school with academy status in Twickenham, London, England. It takes girls between the ages of 11 and 16 and has a coeducational sixth form, opened in September 2014. There are four houses and each house is named after prominent women: (Mary) Seacole, (Emmeline) Pankhurst, (George) Elliot and (Rosalind) Franklin.
The A316, known in parts as the Great Chertsey Road, is a major road in England, which runs from the A315 Chiswick High Road, Turnham Green, Chiswick to join head-on the M3 motorway at Sunbury-on-Thames. Its initial London section Chiswick Lane heads south — following this it is a mostly straight dual carriageway aligned WSW.
Hampton Hill is a district in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames to the south of Twickenham, bounded by Fulwell and Twickenham Golf Course to the northwest; the road bridge over the railway line; a line southward just east of Wellington Road; Bushy Park to the southeast; and the artificial Longford River to the south and west. It is served by Fulwell railway station and Hampton railway station on the Shepperton to Waterloo line. It is part of what is collectively known as The Hamptons.
Thames Valley Harriers (TVH) is an athletics club based in West London, England. It is based at the Linford Christie Stadium which is named after Olympic 100 metres gold medallist Linford Christie.
Kneller Hall is a mansion in Whitton, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It houses the Royal Military School of Music, training musicians for the British Army, which acquired the building in the mid-19th century. It is also home to the school's Museum of Army Music. The Army is scheduled to vacate the site in 2020.
Hammerton's Ferry is a pedestrian and cycle ferry service across the River Thames in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, London, England. The ferry links the northern bank near Marble Hill House in Twickenham with the southern bank near Ham House in Ham. It is one of only four remaining ferry routes in London not to be replaced by a bridge or tunnel.
Swan Island is a small, privately owned island in the River Thames at Twickenham, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, London, England. It is situated on the Tideway about 3⁄4 mile (1.2 km) downstream of Teddington Lock.
The Vineyard Life Church, Richmond was formed in 2013 as the result of a merger between Richmond Borough Church and The Vineyard Church, Richmond. It meets in a 19th-century church located at The Vineyard, Richmond in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, next to St Elizabeth of Portugal Church. The building also houses the Vineyard Community Centre which in turn hosts the Richmond Food Bank, The Vineyard Charity Shop and The Basement Door – a music venue for young people.
Richmond Ice Rink was an ice skating rink at Clevedon Road, Twickenham, formerly in Middlesex and now in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. When it opened, in 1928, it had the longest ice surface in any indoor rink in the world and it soon became the premier rink in London. The rink closed in 1992 and the building was demolished.
Crane Park Island is a Local Nature Reserve in Twickenham in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is also part of The Crane Corridor Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation. The site is an island in the River Crane, which is owned by Richmond upon Thames London Borough Council and managed by the London Wildlife Trust. The (only) entrance is next to the Shot Tower in Crane Park.
Salvation Army Centre, Teddington is a Salvation Army church at 27 Church Road, Teddington, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Meetings are held on Sundays at 10:30am.
Free Grace Baptist Church, Twickenham is a church that meets in a former Salvation Army hall at Powdermill Lane, Twickenham, TW2 6EJ in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It was founded in 1965 and is a member of the Association of Grace Baptist Churches.
Metropolitan Thames Valley, formed from the merge of Metropolitan Housing Trust and Thames Valley Housing Association in 2018, is a housing association (HA) in the United Kingdom with origins back to the 1950s. The Trust manages nearly 38,000 homes and is based in Southgate, London. Metropolitan is a member of the National Housing Federation and the G15 group comprising London’s largest housing associations.
The Exchange, Twickenham is a community building, including a 320-seat theatre, at Brewery Wharf opposite Twickenham railway station in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It opened in October 2017. The building is owned by Richmond upon Thames Council and is managed by St Mary's University, Twickenham.
