Sarah Falak (born 14 July 1992) [2] also, popularly known as Sarah Khan is a Pakistani actress who appears in Urdu-language television series. [3] She made her acting debut with a supporting role in the 2012 serial Badi Aapa, followed by other brief roles in several series. [4] She is the Recipient of Hum Awards and Pakistan International Screen Awards. [5]

Contents

She gained her recognition through romantic series Alvida (2015) [4] and later on Khan, portrayed as Saba in family series Mohabbat Aag Si (2015). [6] She subsequently portrayed leading roles in the romantic series Tum Meri Ho , the black magic-based Nazr-e-Bad (2017), Belapur Ki Dayan (2018) [7] and Mere Bewafa (2018). [8] [9]

Khan, then became established and shown her immense popularity through blockbuster series Sabaat (2020), [10] Raqs-e-Bismil (2020), Hum Tum (2022) [11] and Sher (2025). [12] [13]

Early and Personal life

Khan was born on 14 July 1992, in Medina, Saudi Arabia to a Lebanese mother and a Pakistani Pashtun father of Yusufzai tribe. [14] She has two sisters and one brother, including Noor Zafar Khan who is also an actress. [15] n 15 July 2020, Sarah married singer and lyricist Falak Shabir, [16] a few weeks after their engagement. [17] On 8 October 2021, Shabir announced the birth of their daughter, Alyana Falak. [18] [19] [20]

Career

Early work and its recognition (2012-2019)

Sarah made her acting debut as a supporting lead, in Badi Aapa along with Savera Nadeem and Nauman Ijaz. [21] Next, she appeared in a telenovela sseries Mirat-ul-Uroos opposite Mehwish Hayat, Mikaal Zulfiqar and Ahsan Khan which was aired on Geo Entertainment in the same year. [22] After potraying numerous supportive roles, Khan made her first debut as lead actress in Saltanat-e-Dil opposite Sami Khan and Aleezay Rasul. [23] [24]

In 2015, her breakthrough came with a negative character of a selfish opportunist in romantic drama Alvida [25] along with Sanam Jung and Imran Abbas Naqvi for which latter, she garnered Hum Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. [26] In the same year, she played the role of a brave housewife and gave a wonderful performance in Mohabbat Aag Si along with Azfar Rehman and also she won Hum Award for Best Supporting Actress. [27]

In 2016, sarah potrayed as a Kind hearted woman in Tum Meri Ho opposite Faysal Qureshi and it received postive reviews from audiences. [28] Then, she acted as a jewellery sales woman in family emotional drama Ahsas opposite Nauman Ijaz and Wahaj Ali. [29] In 2018, she played as a Spirit possession of ghost in Belapur Ki Dayan opposite Adnan Siddiqui and Amar Khan. [30] In the same year, she played as a struggling housewife in Mere Bewafa along with Aagha Ali. [31] [32]

Established actress (2020-present)

In 2020, Khan earned recognition and praises for playing an arrogant woman Miraal in Sabaat [33] alongside Usman Mukhtar and Mawra Hocane. [34] For her performance she bagged PISA Award for Best Television Actress Popular. [35] Then she, received praises for portraying as a Religious woman Zohra in Raqs e Bismil with Imran Ashraf. [36] [37]

In 2021, khan potrayed as a badminton player in Laapata [38] opposite Ayeza Khan and Ali Rehman Khan. In 2022, she played a psychology student in the Ramdan series Hum Tum [39] opposite Ramsha Khan, Ahad Raza Mir and Junaid Khan in their second project together after Main Kaisay Kahun . [40] Then, sarah played as a over ambitious girl Anum in Wabaal alongside Talha Chahour and Merub Ali. [41]

In 2023, khan appeared as a Wealthy woman in Namak Haram [42] With Imran Ashraf also, marks their second project together after Raqs-e-Bismil . In 2024, she appeared in lightened romantic series Abdullahpur Ka Devdas with Bilal Abbas Khan in their first on-screen appearance. [43] In 2025, sarah potrayed as a Doctor in Blockbuster family series Sher [44] opposite Danish Taimoor which marks their second collaboration after Hum Tehray Gunahgaar and the series crossed 4 billion views and emerged as a record-breaking hit. [45] [46]

Other work and media image

Khan has also appeared as a guest on various shows. [47] Sarah became the tenth most searched person on Google in Pakistan in 2020. [48] In 2022, she was placed in "Best Pakistani Actresses" list, for her performance in Hum Tum . [49] Khan was placed in Hello Pakistan's HOT100 list, in the "Trailblazers" category, in the same year. [50] The actress serves as a brand ambassador for several products such as Veet and Realme and has done several photoshoots. [51]

On 14 August 2022, Sarah received the "Pride of Performance" award in Norway for her work in Pakistani dramas. [52] She was awarded by the Committee in Oslo, and expressed gratitude for the honor of representing Pakistan overseas. [53] On February 2025, Sarah Khan launched her own clothing line named Alyana. [54] [55]
