Sayed Abdul Karim Hashimi is an Afghan politician. He is a former Governor of Logar Province, he served from December 2005 [1] to July 2007. [2]
Afghanistan, officially the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, is a landlocked country located in South and Central Asia. Afghanistan is bordered by Pakistan in the south and east; Iran in the west; Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan in the north; and in the far northeast, China. The power of the individual governor can vary dramatically between political systems, with some governors having only nominal or largely ceremonial power, while others having a complete control over the entire government.
Logar is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan, located in the eastern section of the country. It is divided into seven districts and contains hundreds of villages. Puli Alam is the capital of the province.

Mohammad Ashraf Ghanī Ahmadzai as son of Shah Jan in Logar, is an Afghan politician who is the current President of Afghanistan, elected on 21 September 2014. An anthropologist by education, he previously served as finance minister and the chancellor of Kabul University.
Paktia is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan, located in the east of the country. Mohammad Amam Hamimi is a former Governor of Logar Province in Afghanistan. He was governor from 10 March 2004 to December 2005. He was succeeded by Abdul Karim Matin as Ghazni governor in 2016.
Fazlullah Mujadedi also spelled as is a Tajik politician in Afghanistan, previously serving as Governor of Laghman Province. He was one of the prominent commanders of Jamiat-e Islami during the 1980s Soviet–Afghan War. He was amongst the earliest generation of anti-soviet fighters from Kabul University, which included Amin Wardak, Zabihullah of Marmul in Balkh and Ahmad Shah Massoud.
Baraki Barak District is situated in the western part of Logar Province, Afghanistan. It borders Wardak Province to the west and northwest, Pul-i-Alam District to the north and east and Kharwar and Charkh districts to the south. The population is 101,000(2006). The district center is the town of Baraki Barak - the former provincial capital, located in the northern part of the district in the valley of the Logar River. Baraki Rajan is another important town of this district which lies 4 km away from district center.
Ormuri is a language spoken in Waziristan. It is primarily spoken in the town of Kaniguram in South Waziristan, Pakistan by the Burki people. It is also spoken by a small group of people in Baraki Barak in Logar, Afghanistan. The language belongs to the Indo-Iranian language group. The extremely small number of speakers makes Ormuri an endangered language that is considered to be in a "threatened" state.
Khoshi District is located in the East part of Logar Province, Afghanistan. 80 km away from Kabul and 18 km from Pul-i-Alam centre of Logar Province. Centre of the district is called Khoshi. Pashtuns make up 65% of the population, Tajiks 34% and Hazara 1%.

The 25 June 2011 Logar province bombing was a suicide car bombing that occurred on 25 June 2011 in Azra District, Logar Province, Afghanistan targeting Akbar Khail hospital, a 10-bed facility near the Pakistani border, killing at least 43 people, including children, pregnant women, and medical staff. The suicide bomber drove a sport utility vehicle through the front gate of the facility, striking a guard, before detonating his explosives. The blast destroyed the one-story hospital and buried people under the rubble. The Taliban denied responsibility for the attack, claiming the perpetrator to be "someone with an agenda," possibly the Haqqani network.
The Chaki Wardak Dam, or simply the Chak Dam, is a dam near the Chak district center in Chaki Wardak District, Wardak Province, Afghanistan. It was originally built by Germans in 1938, making it the oldest major dam in the country. It regulates flow of the Logar River, helping provide irrigation water in Chak Valley.
Hajji Ali Mohammad is a politician representing Logar Province in the Wolesi Jirga, the lower house of Afghanistan's national legislature. According to a report prepared by the Program for Culture and Conflict Studies at the Naval Postgraduate School Ali Mohammed sat on the Communications Committee. They reported he might be politically affiliated with Yunus Qanuni, the speaker of the house, in addition to being a member of the Hezbi Islami.
