Daud Shah Saba (born 1964) is a politician in Afghanistan,who served as Governor of Herat Province from August 2010 to July 2013 when his predecessor Ahmad Yusuf Nuristani had resigned from the post.
Daud Shah Saba was born in 1964 in Herat,Afghanistan. He belongs to the Popalzai Pashtun tribe. After finishing primary school,he attended the Kabul Polytechnic Institute and obtained a MS in Economic Geology in 1986. He taught in the same institute for six years. In 1996,he travelled to India where he obtained a Ph.D. in Earth Science from the University of Mumbai. He is able speak Dari (Persian),Pashto,English and Hindi.
In 2000,Saba published a book Gozar Az Tangna,which is about his vision of sociopolitical situation in Afghanistan. He served as the President of Afghan Green Leave Consulting,LLC,which is a Kabul based consulting firm registered with the Afghanistan Investment Support Agency. It was established in 2009 by Daud Saba and Martijn Hekman,an international development expert.
Saba is an Afghan Canadian who has been involved for about 20 years in international development,natural resources and environmental management,with a focus in Afghanistan. He has worked with many international firms and implemented projects in most of the provinces of Afghanistan. Saba has recently served as the Human Development Advisor to the President Hamid Karzai. On 24 August 2010,Saba was appointed by President Karzai as Governor of Herat province after former governor,Muhammad Yousuf Nuristani,began running for in the 2010 parliamentary election. [1]

Mohammad Ismail Khan is an Afghan former politician who served as Minister of Energy and Water from 2005 to 2013 and before that served as the governor of Herat Province. Originally a captain in the national army,he is widely known as a former warlord as he controlled a large mujahideen force,mainly his fellow Tajiks from western Afghanistan,during the Soviet–Afghan War.

Dr. Ahmad Yusuf Nuristani is a former politician from Afghanistan. He has served as governor of Herat province from January 2009 to August 2010. In September 2018,President Ashraf Ghani appointed Nuristani to the Meshrano Jirga,the upper body of parliament in Afghanistan. From 2005 to 2008 he was the 1st Deputy Defense Minister,Government of Afghanistan. He was recently convicted in the United States and in Afghanistan.

Atta Muhammad Nur is an Afghan exiled politician and former militant who served as the Governor of Balkh Province in Afghanistan from 2004 to January 25,2018. An ethnic Tajik,he worked to educate the Mujahideen after the 1979 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan,gaining the nickname "The Teacher". He then became a mujahideen resistance commander for the Jamiat-e Islami against the Soviets.
Mohammad Daoud was the governor of Helmand in Afghanistan until he was removed from his post for his ties to the opium trade. Daoud was appointed in December 2005,and replaced in December 2006 after the insistence of the British ISAF troops. The U.S. used the warlords to help them hunt Al Qaeda and the Taliban and it is rumored this extended to ignoring their involvement in the production and sale of opium.

He previously served as Minister of Counter Narcotics and as Governor of Parwan Province. He served as Minister of Urban Development and Housing for two terms and as Governor of Kandahar province in 2003,replacing Gul Agha Sherzai under President Hamid Karzai's administration. In 2010,he was appointed as Senior Adviser to President Karzai on Construction,Mines,Water &Energy. In 2014,minister Pashtun continued to serve as Senior Adviser to President Ashraf Ghani. Previously,he served as Kunar Governor and as the chairman of the Afghan NGOs' Coordination Bureau (ANCB),a non-profit umbrella organization of over 270 local NGOs.

Humayun Azizi is an Afghan physician who served as a governor of Kandahar Province,Afghanistan,from April 2015 until 2017. He has previously been state minister for parliamentary affairs. He has been the Ambassador to the Netherlands since August 2017.
