Arkansas Baptist College (ABC) is a private Baptist-affiliated historically black college in Little Rock, Arkansas. Founded in 1884 as the Minister's Institute, ABC was initially funded by the Colored Baptists of the State of Arkansas. It is the only historically black Baptist school west of the Mississippi River. The Main Building on its campus, built in 1893, is one of the oldest surviving academic buildings in the state, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
The Riverside Baptist Church (RBC) is a Baptist church located in Jacksonville, Florida, at 2650 Park Street in the Riverside neighborhood. It is affiliated with the Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists, Alliance of Baptists and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
Church Hill is a small unincorporated community in Jefferson County, Mississippi, United States. It is located eight miles east of the Mississippi River and approximately 18 miles north of Natchez at the intersection of highway 553 and Church Hill Road. Church Hill was a community of wealthy cotton planters and enslaved people before the American Civil War. Soil erosion, which had been going on since well before the Civil War, caused the area to decline into a poor farming community with none of the land under cultivation by 1999. The area is remarkable because its antebellum buildings are mostly intact with few modern buildings having been built.
The Pilgrim Baptist Church located at 732 Central Avenue West in Saint Paul in the U.S. state of Minnesota is the building that houses the first Black Baptist congregation in Saint Paul. The congregation was founded on November 15, 1866, by Reverend Robert Hickman and a group of escaped slaves from Boone County, Missouri. They were smuggled up the Mississippi River on the steamer War Eagle with the help of Union Soldiers and the Underground Railroad. The current building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was built in 1928.
The First Church of Christ, Scientist at 339 West Kaufman in Paris, Texas, is a former Church of Christ, Scientist church and an historic structure that, in 1988, was added to the National Register of Historic Places. It was then vacant. In 2009 it was being used by a Spanish-speaking Baptist congregation.
The Ackerville Baptist Church of Christ is a historic Baptist Church of Christ building in Ackerville, Alabama. The one-story Greek Revival style church was built in 1848. It was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on July 22, 1991 and to the National Register of Historic Places on April 18, 2003 due to its architectural significance.
Friendship Baptist Church is a Baptist church located in the Southwest Waterfront neighborhood of Washington, D.C. It was originally known as Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. Organized in 1875, the church is one of Washington, D.C.'s oldest African-American congregations.
Sardis Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, also known as Old Sardis Baptist Church was built around 1910. The church as the location where the Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights was created at a mass meeting of over 1,000 people on June 5, 1956. Its pastor, the Reverend Robert L. Alford, was one of the founders of the organization. The church building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The building is typical of the vernacular interpretation of the Greek Revival style in 19th century western New York.

Andrew Johnson was a Swedish–American architect and contractor He designed 61 documented or attributed buildings in Panola County, Mississippi and at least 16 more in North Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Several of his works are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
The Baptist Church of Christ came into separate existence in Tennessee at the beginning of the 19th century as a reaction against certain features of excessive Calvinism. General redemption and the perseverance of the saints form cardinal articles of their beliefs, and the washing of feet is practiced as an ordinance. Congregations of the Baptist Church of Christ were found in Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina and Texas. In 1920, there were about 150 churches with a total membership of over 8,000. As this denomination is primitive in practice, it is related to the Primitive Baptists and Duck River and Kindred Associations of Baptists.
