Vining is a city in Otter Tail County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 62 at the 2020 census. [3]
Vining was platted in 1882. [6] A post office has been in operation at Vining since 1882. [7] Vining was incorporated in 1909. [6]
Nyberg Park, located on Front Street, features a collection of scrap metal sculptures created by Vining resident Ken Nyberg. [8]

There were 43 housing units at an average density of 33.6 per square mile (13.0/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 91.0% White and 9.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.3% of the population.
There were 34 households, of which 17.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.1% were married couples living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, 5.9% had a male householder with no wife present, and 41.2% were non-families. 41.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 23.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.29 and the average family size was 3.00.
