Yankeetown is an unincorporated community located in Rockingham County, in the U.S. state of Virginia.
It is located just northwest of Fulks Run in George Washington National Forest, along Virginia State Route 259. [1]

Inhabited during the prehistoric Woodland period, the site has yielded important information about Woodland-era peoples in the region, but it has been damaged by substantial erosion. Despite the damage, it has been a historic site for more than thirty years.
