The AVC Club Volleyball Championship is an international sports competition for club volleyball teams, currently held annually and organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation, the Asian volleyball federation. From the year of 2004, the names of AVC Club Tournaments changed from "AVC Cup Men's/Women's Club Tournaments" to "Asian Men's/Women's Club Volleyball Championship". 2003 AVC Men's and Women's Club Tournaments were canceled due to the outbreak of SARS and 2020 Asian Men's and Women's Club Volleyball Championships were canceled due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
The competition started as the Peace Cup back in 1989 and the tournament was held annually until 1998. The first six editions hosted by Hiroshima, Japan.

The Asian Volleyball Confederation, commonly known by the acronym AVC, is the governing body for the sports of indoor, beach and grass volleyball in Asia and Oceania. It has 65 member countries, mostly located in the Asia-Pacific region, but excludes the six transcontinental countries with territory in both Europe and Asia – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Turkey and Cyprus, along Israel – which are instead members of CEV.
The 2000 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship was the 2nd staging of the AVC Club Championships. The tournament was held in Suphanburi, Thailand. Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance of Korea won the tournament after beating Paykan of Tehran, Iran.
The 2001 AVC Cup Men's Club Tournament was the 3rd staging of the AVC Club Championships. The tournament was held in Shehong, China. Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance of Korea won the tournament after beating Suntory Sunbirds of Japan.
The 2002 AVC Cup Men's Club Tournament was the 4th staging of the AVC Club Championships. The tournament was held in Azadi Volleyball Hall, Tehran, Iran. Paykan of Iran won the tournament after beating Sanam.
The 2006 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship was the 7th staging of the AVC Club Championships. The tournament was held in Hanoi, Vietnam. Paykan of Iran won the tournament after beating Rahat CSKA of Kazakhstan.
The 2007 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship was the 8th staging of the AVC Club Championships. The tournament was held in Manama, bahrain. Paykan of Iran won the tournament after beating Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia.
Behnam Mahmoudi is an Iranian former volleyball player, who capped for more than 8 years in the Iran National Volleyball Team of the year 1998-2006. His brother Shahram Mahmoudi is also a successful international player.

Hamzeh Zarini is a volleyball player from Iran, who plays as an outside spiker for the national team and Haraz Amol club. He competed at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics. Zarini two named Most Valuable Player in Asian Club Championship. Zarini in 2005 was invited to Iran national team. He won two gold and a silver team medal at Asian Championship.

The 2014 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship also known as the PLDT HOME Fibr 2014 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship due to sponsorship reasons was the 15th staging of the AVC Club Championships. The tournament was supposed to be held in Vietnam but later withdrew from hosting. The tournament was instead held in Pasay, Philippines from 8 to 16 April 2014. The champions qualified for the 2014 and 2015 Club World Championship as Asia's representative.
