Fujian is a province on the southeastern coast of China. Fujian is bordered by Zhejiang to the north, Jiangxi to the west, Guangdong to the south, and the Taiwan Strait to the east. Its capital is Fuzhou and its largest city by population is Quanzhou, other notable cities include the port city of Xiamen and Zhangzhou. Fujian is located on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait as the closest geographically and culturally to Taiwan. Certain islands such as Kinmen are only approximately 10 km (6.2 mi) east of Xiamen in Fujian.
Min is a broad group of Sinitic languages with about 70 million native speakers. These languages are spoken in Fujian province as well as by the descendants of Min-speaking colonists on the Leizhou Peninsula and Hainan and by the assimilated natives of Chaoshan, parts of Zhongshan, three counties in southern Wenzhou, the Zhoushan archipelago, Taiwan and scattered in pockets or sporadically across Hong Kong, Macau, and several countries in Southeast Asia, particularly Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Brunei. The name is derived from the Min River in Fujian, which is also the abbreviated name of Fujian Province. Min varieties are not mutually intelligible with one another nor with any other variety of Chinese.

Kompia or kompyang is a bread product that originates from Fuzhou, the capital city of Fujian Province of China as well as Fuqing. It is popular in Fujian and has spread to other areas including the Ryukyus, Taiwan, and parts of Southeast Asia including Indonesia and the Malaysian towns of Sitiawan, Sibu, Ayer Tawar, Sarikei, Bintangor and other places where the dominant Chinese community is of Fuzhou and Fuqing ancestry.
Fuzhou people, also known as Foochowese, Hokchew, Hokchia, Hokchiu, Fuzhou Shiyi people (福州十邑人), Eastern Min or Mindong are residents of either Fuzhou and Mindong regions and the Gutian and Pingnan counties of Fujian province and Matsu Islands in Taiwan. Fuzhou people are a part of the Min Chinese-speaking group that speaks Eastern Min or specifically Fuzhou dialect. There is also a significant overseas Fuzhou population, particularly distributed in Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, United States, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
Fuzhou Tanka, or Boat People, are from Fujian, China. A branch of the Tanka people, they traditionally lived on sampans in the lower course of Min River and the coast of Fuzhou in Fujian Province most of their lives and have been officially recognized as Han Chinese since 1955.
Henan province of China has one of the largest Christian populations of East Asia. There are believed to be several million Christians in Henan, most of them attending Chinese house churches. Henan is thought to have one of the most significant proportions of Christians of any Chinese province. Henan has one of the largest Protestant populations of the country. Many Protestants of Henan live in rural areas. On August 6, 2004, a hundred house church members were arrested in Henan. During the Boxer Rebellion, Christians were killed in Henan. The Henan Mission, up to 1925 of the Presbyterian Church of Canada, was founded in 1888. The Shouters are active in the province. There is persecution of Christians. Bishop Li Hongye was arrested in Luoyang in 2001. A Henan Bible School exists.
Anhui province of China has one of the largest Christian populations of regions of East Asia. It includes millions of people. According to surveys conducted in 2007 and 2009, 5.30% of the population identifies as Christian. Christianity in Henan is one of the largest Christian populations in East Asia as well. The Shouters are active in the province. The defunct Apostolic Vicariate of Kiang-nan had a long history. The country has Persecution of Christians. Watchman Nee died a martyr in an Anhui labour-camp in 1972.
Christianity is a minority in Hebei province of China. According to Asia Harvest, estimates from 2020 suggest that of the entire population (77,188,054) about 5.66% is Christian (4,367,917), among which Catholics accounted for 55.25% (2,413,541).
Christianity is a minority in Jiangxi, the province of China where Taoism is from. There are numerous Christians in Fuzhou, which is the capital of Jiangxi. A Jiangxi Bible School exists. In the 17th century, Catholic missionary Jean Basset was active in Jiangxi and other parts of China. Jiangxi has persecution of Christians. Bishop Zheng Jingmu was arrested in 2000.
The Fuzhou–Xiamen railway or Fuxia railway is a dual-track, electrified, higher-speed rail line in eastern China. The line is named after its two terminal cities Fuzhou and Xiamen, both coastal cities in Fujian. The line has a total length of 274.9 kilometres (170.8 mi) and forms part of China's Hangzhou–Fuzhou–Shenzhen passenger-dedicated railway. Construction began in 2005, and the line entered into operation on April 26, 2010.

The province has persecution of Christians. Hunan has more than 1000 congregations. The Hunan Bible Institute was founded in 1909. Christians only form a small majority of the Hunanese Han. True Jesus Church and The Shouters are present in the province. China Evangelistic Fellowship and China Fountain Group had a large following in 2000.

Christianity is the second major population in Niger State Nigeria, where Sharia is valid. Nine churches in Kontagora were set ablaze in 2006. Minna has a Living Faith Church, a Grace Baptist Church, Victory Christian Church and The Apostolic Church. The Church of Christ in Nigeria is present in the state. A bomb attack allegedly by Boko Haram killed three persons in All Christian-Fellowship Mission in Suleja, Niger State on July 10, 2011. Muslim Rights Concern has condemned this. Churches in Minna and Gwada have been burned, too. Faith Mission Church is present in the state. A Roman Catholic Diocese of Minna has its seat in the state and decidedly is a minority within its area. Evangelical Church Winning All is present in Madalla. The Evangelical Missionary Society used to be active in the area of Niger State.
Hwa Nan College, or Women's College of South China, was a Christian institution of higher education founded by the Methodist Episcopal Church. It is located on the mountainside of Cangqian Mountain, now Cangshan District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China. From 1938 to 1946, the college was temporarily relocated to Nanping City, due to Second Sino-Japanese War. Now the college belongs to the Cangshan Campus of Fujian Normal University.
Sutanto Djuhar, known as Lin Wenjing in Mandarin pinyin and Liem Oen Kian or Ling Ung Keng in the Fuqing dialect, was an Indonesian businessman, investor, and philanthropist. A native of Fuqing, Fujian, China, he and fellow Fuqing native Sudono Salim co-founded the conglomerate Salim Group, which grew into Indonesia's largest company. He founded Indocement and Indofood as part of the Salim Group, and was a major shareholder of Hong Kong-based investment management conglomerate First Pacific. He was the last surviving member of the "Gang of Four", the most powerful Indonesian businessmen of the Suharto era.
