The Rock Island Depot is located in Enid, Garfield County, Oklahoma and listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979. [1]
The Rock Island Railway built rail lines through Oklahoma Territory prior to the Land Run of 1893. Skeleton Station was constructed in 1889. That same year, M.A. Low, upon a visit to the station, renamed the location Enid. [2] When the Department of Interior moved the town site, this area became known as North Enid or Northington. [1] During the run, the Rock Island transported settlers into the Cherokee Outlet, stopping only at this location. Rock Island refused to stop at the new town site, and the Enid-Pond Creek Railroad War continued for a full year. A new depot was built in 1903. The current depot was constructed in 1928. [1]
The building is 195 feet (59 m) long and 26 feet (7.9 m) wide. The building architecture is electric, showing both Spanish and Italian influences. The lower section of the exterior wall is brick, while there is covered with stucco. The stucco is painted white, decorated with tan painted trim. The center section has a gabled roof, with semicircular walls extending above the roof line on each end. The large window in the center is arched. Other windows have an arch design embedded in the stucco. [3]
The building is single story and has 8 large rooms, for baggage handling, ticketing, waiting, and a covered concourse. Seven smaller rooms were for men's and women's restrooms and for storage. Since Oklahoma law required strict segregation of black and white passengers, there had to be two for each function. [3]
The station is not now used by the railroad. It was used as a farmer's market on Saturdays during 2011. [3]
The Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Station was a Atlantic Coast Line Railroad station in Lake Wales, Florida. On August 31, 1990, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The building is now used by the Lake Wales History Museum.
Jackson station is a historic Amtrak station in Jackson, Michigan, United States. It is served by three daily Wolverine trains between Chicago and Pontiac and a single daily Amtrak Thruway bus between Toledo, Detroit, Jackson, and East Lansing. The Coudersport and Port Allegany Railroad Station is a railroad station in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It was built by the Coudersport and Port Allegany Railroad in 1899 and opened in January 1900 during the lumber industry boom in Potter County. When the lumber ran out, the railroad's business decreased and in 1964 the line and station were purchased by the Wellsville, Addison and Galeton Railroad. The station was abandoned in 1970 and was unoccupied until 1975, when the borough of Coudersport purchased it. The borough restored it and put a new roof on, then used the building for office space. The station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 21, 1976.
Barnesville station is a historic train station in Barnesville, Ohio. It is located at 300 East Church Street, between Mulberry and Railroad Streets. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 8, 1985, as the Barnesville Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Depot.
The Milton Odem House is a small bungalow home located in Redmond, Oregon. The house was built in 1937 by Ole K. Olson for Milton Odem, a local theater owner. It is one of the best examples of residential Streamline Moderne architecture in Oregon. The Milton Odem House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
The Federal Building, U.S. Post Office and Courthouse in Hilo, Hawaii is a former courthouse of the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii. Completed in 1917 and expanded in the 1930s, the building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
The Calumet and Hecla Industrial District is a historic district located in Calumet, Michigan and roughly bounded by Hecla & Torch Lake Railroad tracks, Calumet Avenue, Mine and Depot Streets. The district contains structures associated with the copper mines worked by the Calumet and Hecla Mining Company, located along a line above the copper lode, where railroad tracks connected separate mine heads. The Historic District is completely contained in the Calumet Historic District and the Keweenaw National Historical Park. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1973 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Jackson School, built in 1936, is located in Enid, Garfield County, Oklahoma and listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1989. It is one of three Mission/Spanish Colonial buildings in Enid. The other two are the 1928 Rock Island Depot, also listed on the register, and the Ehly house, constructed in 1929 for local J.C. Penney's manager, Gus Ehly. The building is constructed using buff brick and cast stone decorative molding. It has two arched entry ways with red tile shed roofs, a Greek cross in the upper middle section, and cement staircases. The building encompasses Block 16 of Enid's Southern Heights second addition. Its architect Roy Shaw also designed several other Enid school buildings including Enid High School, Adams, Garfield, Roosevelt, and Longfellow. Jackson school served as an all-white school until Enid's schools integrated in 1959. From 1967 to 1969, Jackson and neighboring George Washington Carver, formerly an all-black school, split grades 1-3 and 4–6, respectively, between the two schools, until both were closed in 1969.
The Villa Avenue Train Station is one of two former Chicago Aurora and Elgin Railroad (CA&E) stations in Villa Park, Illinois. The building was also used as an office by the Western United Gas and Electric Company. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, it is now the home of the Villa Park Historical Society Museum.
Mount Clemens station is a historic railroad depot located at 198 Grand Street in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Thomas Edison learned telegraphy at this station in his youth. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981 as the Grand Trunk Western Railroad, Mount Clemens Station and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1973. It is now operated as the Michigan Transit Museum.
The Chicago and Northwestern Railroad Depot is a railroad station located between Suffolk and Lowell Streets in Ironwood, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
The Nevada–California–Oregon Railway Passenger Station is a historic train station in Lakeview, Oregon, United States. It was built in 1912 by contractor I. A. Underwood from plans by architect Frederic DeLongchamps. It was the northern terminus of the Nevada–California–Oregon Railway. The Southern Pacific Railroad company owned and operated the depot from 1928 until 1975, when it was closed. Since 1978, the building has been used as a law office and later a private residence. Because of its importance to local history, the depot was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Constructed in the early twentieth century, it has endured closure and a series of modifications to survive to the present day, and it has been declared a historic site. Used only occasionally for many years, it is one of the most important buildings in a large historic district on the city's west side.
The Sayre Rock Island Depot is a historic railroad station located at 106 E. Poplar Ave. in Sayre, Oklahoma. The depot was built in 1927 along the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad ; it replaced Sayre's original Rock Island station, which opened outside the town limits in 1901. The new station is just two blocks north of downtown Sayre. It accommodated the increased traffic the line had gained in the early 1920s; it also helped the railroad compete with the recently designated U.S. Route 66. The station building was built from and has an Italian Renaissance Revival design. Its design resembles two other surviving Rock Island stations in Oklahoma: the Hobart Depot and the Walters Depot.
The Stillwater Santa Fe Depot is a former railroad station located at 400 East 10th Street in Stillwater, Oklahoma. It served as a rail depot for the Santa Fe Railroad from 1900 until 1958. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is an example of adaptive re-use of a historic building, serving as the national headquarters for the Kappa Kappa Psi fraternity and Tau Beta Sigma sorority.
The Rock Island Depot is a one-story brick structure in El Reno, Oklahoma. Built in 1907 on the railroad tracks that ran along the western boundary of the Unassigned Lands that led to El Reno's settlement in 1889, it served as a passenger and freight terminal for the junction of the east–west and north–south lines of the Rock Island Railroad.
The Grand Trunk Western Railroad Birmingham Depot is a former railroad train station located at 245 South Eton Street in Birmingham, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. As of 2022, the building is unoccupied.
The El Paso and Southwestern Railroad Depot is a Beaux Arts building constructed in 1913 in Douglas, Arizona. Two-stories tall, it was a major station on the El Paso and Southwestern Railroad line. It is slightly to the northwest of the Douglas Historic District, sitting on a 3.2331 acre parcel. It's grounds include fountains and a period taxi stand.
