Genesee is a town in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 7,284 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of Bethesda, Genesee Depot, and Saylesville are in the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has an area of 32.0 square miles (82.9 km2), of which, 31.9 square miles (82.6 km2) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.3 km2) of it (0.31%) is water.

The racial makeup of the town was 98.31% White, 0.19% African American, 0.27% Native American, 0.29% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.43% from other races, and 0.47% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.78% of the population.
There were 2,431 households, out of which 42.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 79.4% were married couples living together, 4.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.8% were non-families. 10.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 2.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
