The International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), is the international governing body for the sport of Weightlifting. It is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, has 193 affiliated national federations, and its president since June 2022 is Mohammed Hasan Jalood of Iraq.

Eileen Floanna Maria Cikamatana is an Australian weightlifter who previously represented Fiji. She competed in the women's 90 kg event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, winning the gold medal. Cikamatana was named 2017 Fiji's sportswoman of the year, but was controversially omitted from consideration for the 2018 Fiji sports awards following her gold medal winning performance at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She also won the gold medal in the women's 87 kg event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham, England, which made her the first woman to win a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games for two different countries.
Li Dayin is a Chinese weightlifter, World Champion and Asian Champion currently competing in the 89 kg division. He has set three world records and holds the snatch junior world record in the 81 kg division, as well as the snatch and total senior world record in the 89 kg division. He won the gold medal in the men's 81 kg event at the 2022 World Weightlifting Championships held in Bogotá, Colombia.

Pak Jong-ju is a North Korean weightlifter competing in the 69 kg and 62 kg categories until 2018 and 67 kg starting in 2018 after the International Weightlifting Federation reorganized the categories.
Li Wenwen, born 5 March 2000, is a Chinese weightlifter competing in the women's +87 kg division. She won the Olympic gold medal for the +87 kg division in 2020, and is the current world champion, as well as the incumbent Asian champion. In 2021, she set the current world records for both clean & jerk and snatch.
The 2019 IWF World Cup in weightlifting was held in Fuzhou, China from 23 to 27 February 2019. It was also a qualification event for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Kamila Konotop is a Ukrainian weightlifter. She won the silver medal in the women's 59 kg event at the 2023 World Weightlifting Championships held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She is a four-time medalist, including three gold medals, at the European Weightlifting Championships. In 2021, Konotop represented Ukraine at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Tatev Hakobyan is an Armenian weightlifter. She won the silver medal in the women's 76 kg event at the 2023 European Weightlifting Championships held in Yerevan, Armenia. She also won the bronze medal in the women's 90 kg event at the 2017 European Weightlifting Championships held in Split, Croatia.
