The World Wushu Championships (WWC) is an international sports championship hosted by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) for the sports of wushu taolu and sanda (sanshou). The tournament has been held biennially since 1991 and is the pinnacle event of the IWUF. The World Wushu Championships also coincides with the IWUF Congress and various committee meetings. This competition additionally serves as the qualification event for the Taolu World Cup and the Sanda World Cup.

The wushu (taolu) competition at the 2022 World Games took place in July 2022, in Birmingham, Alabama, at the Bill Battle Coliseum. Originally scheduled to take place in July 2021, the Games were rescheduled for July 2022 as a result of the 2020 Summer Olympics postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2014 Nanjing Youth Wushu Tournament was a wushu competition which was held from August 22 to 24, 2014 at the Gaochun Gymnasium in Nanjing, China. Athletes qualified for this competition by placing in the top-eight of any taolu individual event at the 2015 World Wushu Championships.

The 2018 Taolu World Cup was the second edition of the Taolu World Cup. It was held at the Thuwunna National Indoor Stadium (1) in Yangon, Myanmar from November 14 to 18, 2018. Athletes qualified for this competition by placing in the top-eight of any taolu individual event at the 2017 World Wushu Championships.

Chen Suijin is a professional wushu taolu athlete from Hong Kong specialising in taijiquan.

The 2024 Taolu World Cup will be the third edition of the Taolu World Cup. It will be held at the Yokohama Buntai in Yokohama, Japan, from October 26 to 27, 2024. Qualification was done through the 2023 World Wushu Championships and the 2024 Wushu International Invitational Tournament.
