Indian Justice Party (IJP) was a political party in India that was established by Udit Raj in 2003. He was an Indian Revenue Service officer and had resigned in 2003 to form Indian Justice Party.

Merger with Bharatiya Janta Party

Udit Raj, Founder and head of the National Confederation of SCs/STs on 24 February 2014 announced merger of his party to Bharatiya Janata Party in presence of BJP National President Rajnath Singh. [2] Mr. Raj said "I had talked to BJP on issues related to role of Dalits in governance and running the country, and only after that he decided to join the BJP. [3]

Ram Vilas Paswan was an Indian politician from Bihar and the Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in the first and second Modi ministries. Paswan was also the president of the Lok Janshakti Party, nine-times Lok Sabha member and two-time Rajya Sabha MP. He started his political career as member of Samyukta Socialist Party and was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1969. Later, Paswan joined Lok Dal upon its formation in 1974, and became its general secretary. He opposed the emergency, and was arrested during this period. He first entered the Lok Sabha in 1977, as a Janata Party member from Hajipur constituency, and was elected again in 1980, 1989, 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2004 and 2014.

He was a Member of Parliament between 2014 and 2019 in the Lok Sabha, representing North West Delhi as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party but left the party after its first term. He was a civil servant and is the former Deputy Commissioner, Joint Commissioner and Additional Commissioner of Income Tax at New Delhi. Raj is also the National Chairman of the All India Confederation of SC/ST Organizations.

The Indian general election of 2014 were held to constitute the 16th Lok Sabha in India. Voting took place in all 543 parliamentary constituencies of India to elect members of parliament in the Lok Sabha. The result of this election was declared on 16 May. The 15th Lok Sabha completed its constitutional mandate on 31 May 2014. Since the last general election in 2009, the 2011 Indian anti-corruption movement by Anna Hazare, and other similar moves by Baba Ramdev, have gathered momentum and political interest. Issues such as Inflation, price rise and corruption were some of the chief issues.

He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and also the first person from BJP to become the President of India. Prior to his presidency, he served as the 26th Governor of Bihar from 2015 to 2017. He also served as a Member of Rajya Sabha from 1994 to 2006. Before entering politics, he was a lawyer for 16 years and practised in the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court of India until 1993.

All India Confederation of SC/ST Organization, was formed in 1997 under the leadership of Udit Raj, who is the National Chairman of the confederation. Confederation organizes non-political rallies every year since 1997, to continue their demand from the government for reservation, ban on contract system, promotion among other things.

Swami Prasad Maurya is an Indian politician and was a member of the 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh of India. He represented the Padrauna constituency of Uttar Pradesh. He was a member of Samajwadi Party till 2024 to which he resigned. Maurya has been a Member of the legislative assembly for five terms, has been a minister in the government of Uttar Pradesh, Leader of the house, and Leader of the opposition. He was serving as Cabinet Minister for Labour, Employment and Co-ordination in Yogi Adityanath ministry. Until 2021, he was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party which he joined after a long stint with Bahujan Samaj Party.
