Location

Jetia is located at 22°54′36″N88°26′46″E / 22.9099810°N 88.4460070°E / 22.9099810; 88.4460070 .

Palladaha, Nagdaha, Palashi and Srotribati (OG) form an urban cluster east of Kanchrapara. Jetia, Nanna (OG) and Chakla (OG) form another urban cluster south of Kanchrapara. ^[1]

As per the District Census Handbook 2011, Jetia covered an area of 1.97 km². It had 2 primary schools, 1 middle school, 1 secondary school and 1 senior secondary school. Jetia is 5 km from Naihati. ^[9]

Transport

Jetia is beside Kalyani Expressway. ^[10]

The Halisahar railway station on the Sealdah-Ranaghat line is located nearby. ^{[11] [10]}

Healthcare

North 24 Parganas district has been identified as one of the areas where ground water is affected by arsenic contamination. ^[12]
