K.P Joseph Kalarickal is an Indian writer of books such as Gospel of Guru Sree Narayana, Notes on the era and other poems, Hormis: legend of a great banker with passion for development: biography of K.P. Hormis, founder of Federal Bank, Bishop Jonas Thaliath of Rajkot: a biography. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]

He was born in the temple town of Aluva on 5 March 1930 in an orthodox Christian family and many of his books are derived from his personal experiences. An MA graduate from the University of Kerala, he has worked as a Consultant FAO of the United Nations. He also worked for Cochin Shipyard and retired as Chief Manager Finance and Management Services. Chattampi Swamikal Social reformer in Kerala

Chattampi Swamikal was a Hindu sage and social reformer. His thoughts and work influenced the launching of many social, religious, literary and political organisations and movements in Kerala and for the first time gave voice to those who were marginalised.

Nataraja Guru was a disciple of Narayana Guru and himself an Indian social reformer.

Nitya Chaitanya Yati was an Indian philosopher, psychologist, author and poet, best known for his commentaries on Advaita Vedanta as well as his literary criticisms. He was a disciple of Nataraja Guru, the successor to Narayana Guru. Yati published over 140 books in English and Malayalam including a commentary on Darsana Mala of Narayana Guru, titled, Psychology of Darsana Mala. Kerala Sahitya Akademi honoured him with their annual award for literary criticism in 1977.

Kumbalathuparambu Ayyappan, better identified as Sahodaran Ayyappan, was a social reformer, thinker, rationalist, journalist, and politician from Kerala, India. A vocal follower of Sree Narayana Guru, he was associated with a number of events related to the Kerala reformation movement and was the organizer of Misra Bhojanam in Cherai in 1917. He founded Sahodara Sangam, and the journal Sahodaran and was the founder editor of the magazine Yukthivadhi.

Sivagiri, Kerala Place in Kerala, India

Sivagiri is an area in Varkala municipality of Trivandrum District in Kerala. It is a pilgrimage centre of Varkala Town where the tomb or samadhi of Sree Narayana Guru is situated. It is a place where Guru built the Sarada Temple dedicated to Sarada Devi. The tomb is an attraction for thousands of devotees every year, especially during the Sivagiri Pilgrimage days from 30 December to 1 January.

G. Kamalamma

G. Kamalamma, (1930–2012) was a school teacher for most of her professional life, and was an author, mostly in the spheres of language and literature, socio-cultural subjects and biography. She wrote over 30 books, all in the Malayalam language, and won citations and awards from both the Sahitya Academy of India and the Sahitya Academy of Kerala.

Peringottukara Village in Kerala, India

Peringottukara is a village in the western coastal side of India, located on the western side of Thrissur district, Kerala. The village is much famous for Vishnumaya Temples. Peringottukara village includes kizhakkumuri, vadakkumuri, and peringottukara center. Peringottukara village has main two junctions, the four-way junction, and three-way junction. The four-way junction has a petrol pump, three-star hotel, hypermarket, nationalized bank, Co-operative banks, and grocery stores. Peringottukara 3 way junction also has the same facilities. There are Chathan Seva temples at Peringottukara, such as Kanadi Kavu, Avanangattu Kalari, and Devasthanam. Among these Avanangattu Kalari is the biggest and oldest Temple. The biggest building, Shiva Parvathy Vishnumaya Terracotta Statue in Kerala is situated in front of the Peringottukara devasthanam, Its height is 52 ft.

Tekkatte Narayan Shanbhag (1925-2009) was an Indian scholar, bookseller and the founder of Strand Book Stores. He was credited with working to transform bookselling into a personal experience, prompting the writer Kushwant Singh, on a BBC show, to call Strand the only personal book shop in India. He was honoured by the Government of India in 2003 with Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.

K. P. Hormis was an Indian banker and lawyer, who is the founder of Federal Bank Limited. He was born on 18 October 1917 at Mookkannoor; a small village in the suburbs of Greater Cochin in a traditional agrarian family. He initially started his professional journey as a Lawyer in the Munisiff Court of Perumbavoor. He took over the management of Travancore Federal Bank on 30 December 1944 and till 18 May 1945 Travancore Federal Bank Limited functioned at Nedumpuram under his chairmanship.

Muthukulam Parvathy Amma (1904-1977) was a Malayalam language poet, teacher, translator, freedom fighter and social reformer from Kerala, India. She has published books in various genres of literature, including poetry, short poems, plays, short stories, children's literature, translations and biographies. Parvathy Amma, a follower of Narayana Guru, supported the Indian freedom struggle, and was inclined towards the Indian National Congress. Muthukulam Parvathy Amma Award is a literary award given to woman writers.
