Sohanlal is an Indian film director and writer, based in Kerala.
Sohanlal started his career as a production assistant and script writer with Doordarshan in 1996–2000 and later worked with the television channels - Indiavision in 2000–2002, Middle East Television in 2002–2004, Jeevan TV in 2004 and Amrita TV in 2004-2011 as Director-Programs.[ citation needed ]
Sohanlal's first notable work was the 2006 TV film Neermaathalathinte pookkal adapted from a short story by Malayalam writer Madhavikutty / Kamala Surayya. The film was telecast on Amrita TV and received [ citation needed ] several awards including Kerala State Film Awards for Best TV Film, Director, Script Writer, Music and Audiography. [1]
Sohanlal's first feature film, Orkkuka Vallappozhum in 2009 starred mainstream Malayalam actors. It won him the Kerala Film Critics Association Award for Best Debut Director and the movie screened in various film festivals worldwide. His second movie Kadhaveedu (House of Stories) was released in November 2013. His third movie The Great Indian Road Movie was released in May 2019. His fourth movie is Appuvinte Sathyanweshanam and the latest film he directed is in 2022, Swapnangal Pookkunna Kaadu which is also the last part of his children's film trilogy.
Sohanlal is the director of the first children's film trilogy in Malayalam. He is also a lyricist advertisement film maker and Event Director.

Madath Thekkepaattu Vasudevan Nair, popularly known as M.T., is an Indian author, screenplay writer and film director. He is a prolific and versatile writer in modern Malayalam literature, and is one of the masters of post-Independence Indian literature. At the age of 20, as a chemistry undergraduate, he won the prize for the best short story in Malayalam at World Short Story Competition conducted by The New York Herald Tribune. His first major novel Naalukettu, written at the age of 23, won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 1958. His other novels include Manju (Mist), Kaalam (Time), Asuravithu and Randamoozham. The deep emotional experiences of his early days have gone into the making of MT's novels. Most of his works are oriented towards the basic Malayalam family structure and culture and many of them were path-breaking in the history of Malayalam literature. His three seminal novels on life in the matriarchal family in Kerala are Naalukettu, Asuravithu, and Kaalam. Randamoozham, which retells the story of the Mahabharatha from the point of view of Bhimasena, is widely credited as his masterpiece.
Ranjith Balakrishnan is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor who works in Malayalam cinema. Ranjith made his directorial debut in 2001 with Ravanaprabhu, the sequel to Devaasuram. He has won three National Film Awards, including one for his film Spirit, which received the National Award for Best Film on Social Issues. His films Thirakkatha and Indian Rupee won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He has also received six Kerala State Film Awards.
Madhupal Kannambathu is an Indian actor, director, and screenwriter who works in Malayalam cinema. Madhupal made his acting debut with Kashmeeram in 1994 and his directorial debut with Thalappavu (2008), which was about Arikkad Varghese and won several awards in 2008.

Venkiteswaran Chittur Subramanian is an Indian film critic, professor, documentary filmmaker, writer and occasional subtitler from Chalakudi, Kerala, India, who writes predominantly in English and Malayalam. He won the National Film Award for Best Film Critic in 2009 and shared the National Film Award for Best Arts/Cultural Film with M.R. Rajan for directing the documentary film, Pakarnattam in 1995.

M. J. Radhakrishnan was an Indian cinematographer working mainly in Malayalam films. He got National film award 2018 as best cinematographer for his work on Malayalam movie Oolu. He won Kerala State Award for Best Cinematography 7 times, equal with Mankada Ravi Varma. Earlier he worked as a still photographer and then as an associate to cinematographer turned director Shaji N. Karun. His important works included Deshadanam (1996), Karunam (1999) Naalu Pennungal (2007), Veettilekkulla Vazhi (2010) and Akasathinte Niram. His films were screened at several prominent film festivals around the world including Cannes, Shanghai, Cairo, Montreal, Telluride, Jeonju, Toronto, Chicago, Rhode Island and Rotterdam. One of his works, Marana Simhasanam, won Caméra d'Or in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival. Another film Veyilmarangal won Golden Goblet award for Outstanding Artistic achievement at Shanghai International Film Festival 2019. He worked on over 117 feature films and several documentaries and worked with some of the prominent Indian filmmakers including Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Murali Nair, Shaji N. Karun, TV Chandran, Dr. Biju, Jayaraj and Renjith. He mostly worked on arthouse films and was known for his natural lighting styles. In a career spanning more than two decades, he worked with a number of young film makers, mostly in their maiden ventures. Film Kalamandalam Hyderali 2019, directed by Kiran G. Nath was his last completed work as director of photography.
T. A. Razzaq was an Indian screenwriter, who worked on Malayalam movies. He was born to T.A. Bappu and Vazhayil Khadeeja. His younger brother, T. A. Shahid, was also a screenwriter who wrote scripts for successful films such as Balettan and Rajamanikyam. He has received Kerala State Film Award for Best Story in 1996 and 2002 and for Kerala State Film Award for Best Screenplay in 1996.

He made his debut cinema with Grihaprevesam (1992). His films include Nandini Oppol (1994), Kaathil Oru Kinnaram (1996), Dravidan (1998), Kattathoru Penpoovu (1998), Saavithriyude Aranjaanam (2002), Payum Puli (2007), Evadaina Sare (2007), Grihanathan (2012) and Chandragiri (2018).
Kaadu Pookkunna Neram is a 2016 Indian Malayalam film written and directed by Dr. Biju. The film is produced by Sophia Paul under the film production house, Weekend Blockbusters. It stars Indrajith Sukumaran as a policeman, who is sent into deep jungles to capture the chief of a radical organization, played by Rima Kallingal, but instead finds himself trapped in it.
