The Bangla Academy is the official regulatory body of the Bengali language in Bangladesh. It is an autonomous institution funded by the Government of Bangladesh that fosters the Bengali language, literature and culture, works to develop and implement national language policy and conducts original research in Bengali. Established in 1955, it is located in the Burdwan House in Shahbagh, Dhaka, within the grounds of the University of Dhaka and Suhrawardy Udyan. The Bangla Academy hosts the annual Ekushey Book Fair.

The Asiatic Society of Bangladesh is a non political and non profit research organisation registered under both Society Act of 1864 and NGO Affairs Bureau, Government of Bangladesh. The Asiatic Society of Bangladesh was established as the Asiatic Society of East Pakistan in Dhaka in 1952 by a number of Muslim leaders, and renamed in 1972. Ahmed Hasan Dani, a noted Muslim historian and archaeologist of Pakistan played an important role in founding this society. He was assisted by Muhammad Shahidullah, a Bengali linguist. It is the last film of Shakib Khan and Shabnom Bubly as a Duo.

Ananta Bhalobasha is a 1999 Bangladeshi romantic action film. The film directed and screenplay by Sohanur Rahman Sohan and Produced by Kuddusur Rahman under the banner of SP Production. The story and dialogues of the film are written by Abu Saeed Khan and Henry Amin respectively. The film stars Shakib Khan and Erin Zaman played the lead roles in the film. It also feature Abul Hayat, Wasimul Bari Rajib, Dolly Johur and Misha Sawdagor also played various important roles. The film mark as the on-screen debut Shakib Khan and Erin Zaman.

Toofan is a 2024 Bangladeshi Bengali-language period crime action thriller film directed by Raihan Rafi and produced by Chorki, Alpha-i Studios Ltd. and co-produced by SVF. The story of the film revolves around a gangster of Bangladesh in the nineties, featuring Shakib Khan along with Mimi Chakraborty and Masuma Rahman Nabila, while Chanchal Chowdhury made an extended cameo appearance.

Enam Ahmed Chowdhury is a retired secretary and former chairman of the Privatization Commission. He is an Awami League politician and former Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician.
