Northern Superchargers were formed in 2019, and played their first Hundred match in the 2021 season of The Hundred against Welsh Fire for both the Men's side and the Women's side. Hundred matches are classed as Twenty20 matches and so have Twenty20 status or Women's Twenty20 status. The Hundred is a 100-ball cricket tournament involving teams in major cities across England and Wales run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) which took place for the first time in 2021.
Alice Natica Davidson-Richards is an English cricketer who plays for Kent, South East Stars and Northern Superchargers. A right-handed batter and right-arm pace bowler, she made her county debut for Kent in 2010. She made her debut for England in March 2018.
Linsey Claire Neale Smith is an English cricketer who plays for Sussex, Southern Vipers, Northern Superchargers and Sydney Sixers. A slow left-arm orthodox bowler, she originally played for Berkshire before moving to Sussex ahead of the 2017 season. In October 2018, she was named in the England women's cricket team squad for the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20 tournament, and made her Women's Twenty20 International cricket (WT20I) debut in the tournament against Bangladesh.

The team represents the areas of North East England and Yorkshire in The Hundred competition, which first took place during the 2021 English and Welsh cricket season. Ella Caterina Claridge is an English cricketer who currently plays for Buckinghamshire, Leicestershire and The Blaze. She plays as a right-handed batter and wicket-keeper. In 2021 and 2022 she was in the Trent Rockets squad for The Hundred, and was later drafted by Northern Superchargers for the 2024 season.
Rachel Elizabeth Slater is a Scottish cricketer who currently plays for Yorkshire and Northern Diamonds. She plays primarily as a left-arm medium bowler. She made her international debut for the Scotland women's cricket team in January 2022. She has previously played for Northern Superchargers.
