The State Register of Heritage Places is maintained by the Heritage Council of Western Australia. As of 2021, 97 places are heritage-listed in the Shire of East Pilbara, [1] of which seven are on the State Register of Heritage Places. [2]

With an area of 372,571 square kilometres (143,850 sq mi), larger than the Australian states of Victoria and Tasmania combined, it is the largest local government region in Australia.
