This is a list of the most-visited museums in the world in 2023 by annual attendance statistics. Total attendance at the top sixty museums in 2023, as reported by the annual TEA-AECOM Museum survey, reached 94 percent of 2019 levels, before the COVID 19 pandemic.

Criteria

This list includes art museums, cultural museums, history museums, natural history museums, and science museums with an attendance of over 1,250,000 people in 2022, but does not include archaeological sites, historical monuments, or most palace museums. For example, the Forbidden City, Kremlin, and Palace of Versailles are not included, though the Louvre and Hermitage are included.

Due to differences in reporting across regions, there is some variation in the time periods for which figures are reported. Figures for North America and continental Europe are generally calendar-year figures, while most figures for Britain and the Asia-Pacific are fiscal year figures, from April through March.

Hong Kong Disneyland is a theme park located on reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It was the first Disneyland in Asia outside of Japan until Shanghai Disneyland in 2016. Hong Kong Disneyland is located inside the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and is owned jointly by Hong Kong International Theme Parks (52%) and the Walt Disney Company (48%). It is the most visited theme park in Hong Kong, followed by Ocean Park Hong Kong. Hong Kong Disneyland opened to visitors on Monday, September 12, 2005, at 13:00 HKT. Disney attempted to avoid problems of cultural backlash by incorporating Chinese culture, customs, and traditions when designing and building the resort, including adherence to the rules of feng shui. Notably, a bend was put in a walkway near the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort entrance so good qi energy would not flow into the South China Sea.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Tokyo Disneyland</span> Theme park in Chiba, Japan

Tokyo Disneyland is a 115-acre (47 ha) theme park at the Tokyo Disney Resort in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, near Tokyo. Its main gate is directly adjacent to both Maihama Station and Tokyo Disneyland Station. It was the first Disney park to be built outside the United States and it opened on April 15, 1983. The park was constructed by WED Enterprises in the same style as Disneyland in California and Magic Kingdom in Florida. It is owned by The Oriental Land Company, which licenses intellectual property from The Walt Disney Company. Tokyo Disneyland and its companion park, Tokyo DisneySea, are the only Disney parks in the world not owned or operated by The Walt Disney Company in any capacity.

The National Museum of China is an art and history museum located on the eastern side of Tiananmen Square in Beijing. The National Museum of China has a total construction area of about 200,000 square meters, a collection of more than 1.4 million items, and 48 exhibition halls. It is the museum with the largest single building area in the world and the museum with the richest collection of Chinese cultural relics. It is a level-1 public welfare institution funded by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The Suzhou Museum is a museum of ancient Chinese art, paintings, calligraphy and handmade crafts in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. It is one of the most visited museums in the world, with more than 2 million visitors in 2018. The Folk Branch of the museum is at the Bei family ancestral temple near Lion Grove Garden. The Western New Pavilion was designed by renowned architect I.M. Pei and was completed and opened in 2006.

The museum received 1,992,512 visitors in 2017.

Tokyo DisneySea is a theme park at the Tokyo Disney Resort located in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, just next to Tokyo. It opened on 4 September 2001, at a cost of 335 billion yen. The Oriental Land Company owns the park, and licenses intellectual property from The Walt Disney Company. In 2023, Tokyo DisneySea hosted 12.4 million visitors, making it the seventh-most visited theme park in the world and the third-most visited in Japan.

Tenfu Tea Museum, in Zhangzhou, Fujian, China, was constructed in 2000, and finished in 2012. It is the world's largest tea museum with a total area of 13 acres. The museum consists of many displays of past tea cultures, tea processing, tea and tea ware, as well as having live tea arts culture performances.

The Changsha Museum is a history museum located at Beichen Delta in Kaifu District, Changsha, Hunan, China. It is adjacent to the Changsha Concert Hall, Changsha Planning Exhibition Hall and Changsha Library. It has a constructed area of 24,000 square metres (260,000 sq ft).

She Xiang (1358-1396) was a member of the Yi people(彝). She Zi(舍兹) is her Yi(彝) name. Guizhou female Shui Xi soil department during the Ming Dynasty. She is well-respected for her accomplishments in constructing roads and bridges as well as mediating conflicts between the Yi and Han ethnic groups.

Figure skating at the 14th Chinese National Winter Games is the figure skating event at the 14th Chinese National Winter Games held in Hulunbuir. Competitors would need to qualify for the games through earning points at the third and fifth leg of the domestic grand prix, national championships or at the GP/JGP. The winter games will also serve as a qualifying event or one of the qualifying criterion for the 2024 World Figure Skating Championships.
