This is a list of mass or spree killers in Oceania and Maritime Southeast Asia that committed familicides. A mass murderer is typically defined as someone who kills three or more people in one incident, with no "cooling off" period, not including themselves. [1] [2] A mass murder typically occurs in a single location where one or more persons kill several others. [3] [4] [5]
The victims must have been majority the relatives of the perpetrator to be considered a familicide.
This list does not include serial killers, members of democidal governments, or major political figures who orchestrated such actions.

An axe murder is a murder in which the victim was struck and killed by an axe or hatchet.
Mat Taram bin Sa'al was an Indonesian mass murderer who killed eleven people and wounded ten others on a Kuala Lumpur-bound train and a kongsi near Bangi, Malaya on 9 October 1947. He was acquitted by reason of insanity.
The Invercargill Tragedy was a familicide that took place in Invercargill, New Zealand on 8 April 1908. James Reid Baxter killed his wife and five children with an iron stove scraper before shooting himself in the head with a shotgun. It was the worst mass murder in Southland.
