Tongliang District is a district of Chongqing Municipality, China. On 6 June 2014 Tongliang was upgraded from a county into a district within Chongqing.
The Changsha IRD Building bombing occurred on July 30, 2010 at about 4:15pm, and resulted in four deaths and 19 injuries. The site of the blasts was the third floor of the Dongtundu (東屯渡) Inland Revenue Department Branch Building in Furong District, Changsha, Hunan, China.

The 2014 Kunshan explosion was a dust explosion that occurred at Zhongrong Metal Production Company, an automotive parts factory located in Kunshan, Jiangsu, China, on 2 August 2014. As of December 30, 2014, the explosion killed 146 workers and injured 114 others.

On June 28, 2018, in the Xuhui District of Shanghai, China, three boys and a female parent were stabbed with a knife near the gate of the West Campus of the Shanghai World Foreign Language Primary School at Pubei Road, Shanghai. Two boys who attended died, and another student and parent were injured. The suspect, Huang Yichuan, was arrested by the Procuratorate the next day.
2021 Shiyan pipeline explosion, officially June 13 Yanhu Community Pedlar's Market Severe Gas Explosion Accident in Zhangwan District, Shiyan, Hubei was a gas explosion took place at about 6:30 a.m. local time in Yanhu Community, Checheng Road Subdistrict, Zhangwan District, Shiyan, Hubei on 13 June 2021 in a market, which then collapsed. Locals who were buying vegetables or having breakfast at the market were trapped by the explosion. The explosion resulted in 25 deaths and 138 injuries.
Fa Ziying and Lao Rongzhi were a pair of Chinese serial killers, con artists, and robbers born in Jiujiang, Jiangxi. Fa and Lao met first during a wedding of their friend in 1993. Between 1996 and 1999, after becoming a romantic couple, Fa and Lao committed a series of crimes, including kidnapping, robbery, and murder in Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Anhui. A total of seven people were killed and a total of over 100,000 yuan were stolen by the couple. Fa was arrested on 23 July 1999 when a ransom handoff was interrupted by police and subsequently sentenced to death, deprived of political rights for life, and fined 20,000 yuan, by the Hefei Intermediate People's Court. On 28 December 1999, Fa was executed by being shot. Lao, who had been on the run since 1999, was captured and arrested on 28 November 2019 in Xiamen, Fujian. On September 9, 2021, Lao was sentenced to death by the Nanchang Intermediate People's Court for intentional homicide, kidnapping, and robbery. She was also stripped of her political rights for life and had all of her personal property confiscated. Lao appealed her conviction in court, and the second trial was held on August 18, 2022 at Jiangxi Provincial Higher People's Court. Although Lao admitted to being an accomplice to Fa, she claimed to have only done so in fear of losing her own life, as Fa had physically and sexually abused her throughout their relationship. On November 30 of the same year, the court upheld the death sentence. On December 18, 2023, the Nanchang Intermediate People's Court carried out the execution of Lao Rongzhi, with the approval of the Supreme People's Court.
The 2023 Guangzhou car attack was a mass intentional injury incident that occurred on January 11, 2023, when the driver of a black BMW X3 deliberately rammed his vehicle into a crowd of pedestrians and motorists on Tianhe Road in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. The incident resulted in the deaths of six people and injuries to 29 others. The perpetrator, identified as 22-year-old Wen Qingyun, was arrested, sentenced to death, and subsequently executed in April 2024 in connection with the attack.
On 10 February 2024, the first day of the Chinese New Year, a man reportedly attacked multiple people in Zhaike Village, a settlement in Rizhao's Ju County in Shandong, China, with a knife and some type of firearm. Also known as the Ju County massacre or Zhaike Village massacre, the incident left at least 21 people dead, including one doctor and two police officers, and many more injured. Details of the bloodshed remain unclear and unconfirmed due to strict government censorship. Some reports indicated that additional attackers were involved.
On 16 November 2024, a former student stabbed twenty-five people, killing eight, at the Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in Yixing, Wuxi, Jiangsu, China.
