Shi Yuejun was a Chinese mass murderer and spree killer known as the "Jilin butcher", who murdered 12 people and wounded five others in Liuhe County and Tonghua County, Jilin Province between 24 September and 29 September 2006. He was sentenced to death on 25 November the same year and executed about a month later.
Guo Zhongmin was a Chinese mass murderer who killed 13 people in Yangxiaoxiang, Huludao, People's Republic of China on February 18, 2003, before committing suicide.

On June 28, 2018, in the Xuhui District of Shanghai, China, three boys and a female parent were stabbed with a knife near the gate of the West Campus of the Shanghai World Foreign Language Primary School at Pubei Road, Shanghai. Two boys who attended died, and another student and parent were injured. The suspect, Huang Yichuan, was arrested by the Procuratorate the next day.
Chen Yongfeng, known as The Butcher, was a Chinese serial killer who operated in the Wenzhou area in early 2003. Before his capture, Chen killed and dismembered 10 people, all of them were scrap merchants whom he invited into his home.
The Commonwealth double murders were the two family-related murders of the convict's mother and grandmother, which occurred on 27 October 2019 in Commonwealth, Singapore. The killer, 22-year-old Gabriel Lien Goh, is alleged to have argued with his mother Lee Soh Mui over unknown issues and stabbed his mother and his grandmother See Keng Keng to death. Goh was charged with the murders of his grandmother and mother and currently, he is detained indefinitely under the President's Pleasure due to him being of drug-induced unsound mind at the time of the offences.
On 19 July 2018, a 56-year-old woman named Low Hwee Geok, also known as Michelle Low, was attacked and stabbed at the carpark area of ITE College Central. The attacker, who was Low's ex-husband Seet Cher Hng, had attempted suicide after stabbing his ex-wife eight times, but he was taken to hospital by the police and he survived his wounds. Low, on the other hand, died from the cold-blooded attack, resulting in Seet being arrested and charged with murder. Seet, who had a gambling habit, had been harassing his wife for several years after their divorce for more money due to his allegations that his share of their condominium's sale proceeds was not fairly distributed. Three years later, Seet, then 69 years old, was found guilty of murdering Low by the High Court on 14 September 2021. Eight days later, Seet was sentenced to life imprisonment on 22 September 2021.
On 11 April 1989, 56-year-old goldsmith Phang Tee Wah was kidnapped by two men before he was murdered. Despite his death, the kidnappers demanded ransom from Phang's family, who were kept in the dark about Phang's death as they contacted the police about their predicament and the crime. Subsequently, four days after Phang was killed, his corpse was discovered and the police were able to nab the two kidnappers - Phang's former employee Liow Han Heng and security guard Ibrahim bin Masod, who was Liow's friend and driver.
On the night of 10 November 1977, Usharani d/o Ganaison, a 7-year-old student of Cairnhill Primary School, went missing after she went out of her flat to buy drinks to celebrate Deepavali with her family. About seven hours after her disappearance, she was found murdered nearby the void deck of her flat, and the medical evidence suggested that she had been molested and strangled.
On 14 July 1993, 50-year-old sub-contractor Sim Ah Lek, who was also a moneylender, was killed by 37-year-old Phua Soy Boon, who was his creditor, after he refused Sim's request to lend him S$10,000. After killing Sim, Phua stole Sim's Rolex watch, diamond ring and S$9,000 in cash, and even stuffed the dead body inside a gunny sack before disposing of it at Jurong Swimming Complex, where it was found the next morning.
On 25 July 1980, 16-year-old student Ong Ai Siok, birth name Goh Luan Kheng, who stayed at home to study overnight while her adoptive parents went out for supper, was murdered by her unemployed relative Lau Ah Kiang, who entered her home to commit robbery as a result of his desperation to discharge his debts and settle his unpaid living expenses. Six years after his arrest, Lau, who denied committing the murder despite his confession, was sentenced to death in February 1986 after the trial court found him guilty of murder.
On 15 June 2000, 65-year-old part-time taxi driver Ong Huay Dee was murdered by a passenger while he was driving along Pasir Ris in Singapore. Ong's passenger and killer, 25-year-old Thai national Khwan-On Natthaphon, was arrested and charged for the murder. Even though Khwan-On raised a defence of diminished responsibility and also stated he never intended to kill Ong, the trial court nonetheless rejected his defences and regarded him as a "cold-blooded murderer" for having intentionally caused the fatal head injuries on Ong. Hence, Khwan-On was found guilty of murdering Ong and sentenced to death in August 2001, and after losing his appeal, Khwan-On was hanged on 27 September 2002.
On 5 December 1974, at Kramat Road off Orchard Road, 22-year-old Wong Thng Kiat, the operator of a call-girl syndicate, was stabbed to death after he got into a fight with another man who used a knife to stab him, and the fight arose from a quarrel over a missing gold bracelet. Within a few days, the killer, 21-year-old Tay Eng Whatt, was arrested and charged with murder. On 23 July 1976, Tay was found guilty and sentenced to hang for the murder, after the trial court rejected his defence that he killed Wong as a result of a fight and self-defence. Tay's appeals were later dismissed by both the Singaporean Court of Appeal and Privy Council in London, and on 29 June 1979, Tay was put to death in Changi Prison.
On 12 March 1997, a loan shark named Tan Tiong Huat was shot to death at a carpark in Singapore's Beach Road. The suspected gunman fled Singapore for Thailand, where he was eventually caught and extradited back to Singapore for trial seven years later. The gunman, Lim Thian Lai, was charged with murdering Tan before he was put on trial for an amended charge of illegally discharging a firearm to cause death. Although Lim put up a defense that he was innocent and it was another person who killed Tan, the trial court found him guilty of shooting Tan to death under the Arms Offences Act and sentenced him to the mandatory death penalty for the crime.
