Contents

The W column gives a basic description of the weapons used:

F – Firearms and other ranged weapons. This primarily includes rifles and handguns, but also bows and crossbows, grenade launchers, flamethrowers, or slingshots.
M – Melee weapons, like knives, swords, spears, machetes, axes, clubs, rods, rocks, or bare hands.
O – Any other weapons, such as bombs, hand grenades, Molotov cocktails, poison and poisonous gas, as well as vehicle and arson attacks.
A – indicates that fire was the only other weapon used
V – indicates that a vehicle was the only other weapon used
E – indicates that explosives of any sort were the only other weapon used

Rampage killers

This is a list of mass/spree killers who attacked schools. A mass murderer is typically defined as someone who kills three or more people in one incident, with no "cooling off" period. [72] [73] A mass murder typically occurs in a single location where one or more persons kill several others. [74] [75] [76]

The victims must be largely the relatives of the perpetrator to be considered a familicide.

This list does not include serial killers, members of democidal governments, or major political figures who orchestrated such actions.

The Yongzhou courthouse shooting occurred on 1 June 2010, when 46-year-old Zhu Jun (朱军), armed with a submachine gun and two other weapons, entered the Lingling District People's Court (零陵区法院) in Lingling, Yongzhou, Hunan and randomly killed three judicial workers who happened to be at work at an office on the fourth floor.

The Changsha IRD Building bombing occurred on July 30, 2010 at about 4:15pm, and resulted in four deaths and 19 injuries. The site of the blasts was the third floor of the Dongtundu (東屯渡) Inland Revenue Department Branch Building in Furong District, Changsha, Hunan, China.

The Hebei tractor rampage was an apparently spontaneous mass murder rampage in August 2010 in which 17 people were killed in Yuanshi County, Hebei, China, by an intoxicated man driving a bucket loader. At least 20 others were wounded in the attack.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2018 Shanghai stabbings</span> Chinese criminal incident

On June 28, 2018, in the Xuhui District of Shanghai, China, three boys and a female parent were stabbed with a knife near the gate of the West Campus of the Shanghai World Foreign Language Primary School at Pubei Road, Shanghai. Two boys who attended died, and another student and parent were injured. The suspect, Huang Yichuan, was arrested by the Procuratorate the next day.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2023 Guangzhou car attack</span> Mass murder in China

The 2023 Guangzhou car attack was a mass intentional injury incident that occurred on January 11, 2023, when the driver of a black BMW X3 deliberately rammed his vehicle into a crowd of pedestrians and motorists on Tianhe Road in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. The incident resulted in the deaths of six people and injuries to 29 others. The perpetrator, identified as 22-year-old Wen Qingyun, was arrested, sentenced to death, and subsequently executed in April 2024 in connection with the attack.

On 16 November 2024, a former student stabbed twenty-five people, killing eight, at the Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in Yixing, Wuxi, Jiangsu, China.
