The NCAA Women's Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships are the annual collegiate track and field competitions for women athletes representing Division I institutions organised by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Athletes' performances in individual championships earn points for their institutions and the team with the most points receives the NCAA team title in track and field. A separate NCAA Division I men's competition is also held. These two events are separate from the NCAA Women's Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships and NCAA Men's Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships held during the winter. College athletics encompasses non-professional, collegiate and university-level competitive sports and games.
Track and field is a sport which includes athletic contests established on the skills of running, jumping, and throwing. The name is derived from where the sport takes place, a running track and a grass field for the throwing and some of the jumping events. Track and field is categorized under the umbrella sport of athletics, which also includes road running, cross country running, and race walking.
NCAA Division I (D-I) is the highest level of intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. D-I schools include the major collegiate athletic powers, with larger budgets, more elaborate facilities and more athletic scholarships than Divisions II and III as well as many smaller schools committed to the highest level of intercollegiate competition.
The current team champions are the Oregon Ducks, and the most successful team, with 14 titles, are the LSU Lady Tigers. LSU would be credited with a fifteenth title in 2012 but were disqualified when one of their athletes, Trinidadian athlete Semoy Hackett, tested positive for methylhexaneamine and was banned from international competition for two years and four months. The Oregon Ducks track and field program is the intercollegiate track and field team for the University of Oregon located in the U.S. state of Oregon. The team competes at the NCAA Division I level and is a member of the Pac-12 Conference. The team participates in indoor and outdoor track and field as well as cross country. Known as the Ducks, Oregon's first track and field team was fielded in 1895. The team holds its home meets at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Robert Johnson is the current head coach and since the program's inception in 1895, there have only been seven permanent head coaches. The Ducks claim 31 NCAA National Championships among the three disciplines.
The LSU Lady Tigers track and field team represents Louisiana State University in NCAA Division I women's indoor and outdoor track and field.
Semoy Hackett is a Tobagonian track and field sprint athlete who competed collegiately at Louisiana State University. Her personal best in the 100m is 11.09, and 22.49 in 200m.

This list consists of the top twenty-seven women's college outdoor track and field teams in terms of appearances in the NCAA Women's Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championship. Although college rankings usually recognize top twenty-five teams, in this case there are seven teams tied for 21st: Illinois, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Purdue, Texas A&M, Villanova, and Washington.

She ran a time of 1:59.71, setting a personal best.
Courtney Okolo is an American track and field sprinter who competes in the 400 metres. She starred at Carrollton (Texas) Newman Smith High School where she won multiple individual state championships.
Christian Coleman is an American professional track and field sprinter. He is the world indoor record holder for the 60 meters dash. He is also a prominent 100 meters and 200 meters runner. He was a double silver medallist at the World Championships in Athletics in 2017. He competed collegiately for the Tennessee Volunteers. He attended high school at Our Lady Of Mercy Catholic High School in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Raven Saunders is an American track and field athlete who competes in the shot put and discus throw. She won three NCAA collegiate titles in the shot put for the University of Mississippi. She was a world junior medalist in 2014 and the Pan American junior champion in 2015. She holds a personal record of 19.33 m for the shot put.

His best time in the 400 meters, 43.70 set in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I West Preliminary in Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas on May 26, 2017, ranks him as the eighth fastest 400 meters sprinter in history. His time became the NCAA record, taking 3 tenths of a second off the 44.00 record by Olympic champion Quincy Watts, set almost 25 years earlier.
