Nant Glas (or Nant-glas) is a village in the Elan Valley near Rhayader and Llandrindod Wells in Powys, Wales. [1] It is on a side road between the A44 to the northeast and the A470 to the southwest. There is a small chapel at the southern end of the village.
The Willow Globe Theatre is close to the village, to the south just off the A470.
The A44 is a major road in the United Kingdom that runs from Oxford in southern England to Aberystwyth in west Wales.
The A470 in Wales is also referred to as the Cardiff to Glan Conwy Trunk Road. It is a 186-mile (299 km) route that links Cardiff on the south coast to Llandudno on the north coast. There have been considerable road improvements in the last two decades. While previously one had to navigate the narrow roads of Llanidloes and Dolgellau, both these market towns are now bypassed due to extensive road modernisation. The 26 miles (42 km) from Cardiff Bay to Merthyr Tydfil are mainly direct and good quality dual carriageway, but most of the route from north of Merthyr to Llandudno is single carriageway that has seen improvement in the last 20 to 30 years.
Llanishen is a district and community in the north of Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. The Cardiff community population taken at the 2011 census was 17,417. Llanishen is well known as the home of the 'Tax Offices', the tallest buildings in north Cardiff and a landmark for miles around. The office complex overlooks the 'Crystal and Fishguard estates', Parc Tŷ Glas industrial estate, old village, leafy suburban roads and various parkland that constitute the district.
