Ner is a census town and tehsil in Darwha subdivision of Yavatmal district in the state of Maharashtra, India. As per 2011 census population of Ner city was 45000. It has very good connectivity with Samruddhi Expessway is 10 Km away while Badnera railway station is 50 Km and Nagpur International Airport is 190 Km.Also District cities like Amravati at 60 Km and Yavatmal at 33 Km away from the city centre. It is famous for groundnut oil production, Cotton market. It has got Prestigious "C" category from govt of Maharashtra under religious place for being unique and claimed to be first GANESH UTSAV in INDIA which established in 963.over a 100000 devotees witness and takes part in procession and 10 days festival of GANESHA. [1] The famous Ganpati Math during Ganesha festival,Renuka Devi temple fair during Navratri, Shri Fakirji Maharaj yatra (fair) are held in Ner.
