The Shire covers an area of 5,634 square kilometres (2,175 sq mi) and its seat of government is the town of Nyabing. The area produces grains such as wheat, barley and legumes.

Yanmah is a rural locality and town of the Shire of Manjimup in the South West region of Western Australia. The Yanmah Brook flows through the locality and the Yanmah State Forest is located in Yanmah as well.
Moornaming is an abandoned townsite in the locality of Nyabing, Shire of Kent, in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. Much of the gazetted area of the former townsite is now covered by the Moornaming Nature Reserve.
