The R324 is a Regional Route in South Africa that connects Barrydale to the north with Port Beaufort and Witsand to the south. [1]
Originating from the R62 at Barrydale it heads south over the Tradouws Pass. At the end of the pass, it reaches a t-junction. The western route is signed as the R324 and the eastern as the R322. The westerly R324 passes through Suurbraak and then reaches the N2. It is co-signed briefly heading east. Diverging from the N2, the route then heads south-south-east to Port Beaufort. Here the R322 rejoins the route. The R324 then runs east to end at the neighbouring village of Witsand. [1]

Burchell's redfin, also known as the Tradouw redfin, Tradou redfin or Breede redfin, is an African freshwater fish species in the family Cyprinidae. P. burchelli is the type species of its genus Pseudobarbus, and like all of these is tetraploid. The Berg River redfin is a very close relative.

Buffeljagsriver is a river that originates where two other rivers meet, one being the Grootvadersbos River and the other the Tradou River. The confluence is just east of a small town, Suurbraak, Western Cape province. The Tradouw Pass is situated just north of this meeting point. To the west of the town the river flows into the Buffeljags Dam, and the river then heads south to join the Breede River, not far from the Bontebok National Park.

Tradouw Pass is a pass through the Langeberg mountain range in South Africa. It is part of the R324 and is the main road between Swellendam and Barrydale in the Western Cape.
