Sadabad is a town and a nagar panchayat in Hathras district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Sadabad is located at 27°27′N78°03′E / 27.45°N 78.05°E . [1] It has an average elevation of 175 metres (574 feet).
Sadabad was part of Mathura District till 1997. It is a Jat-dominated area. [2] It has an ancient fort known as "Kothi Ganj" and also a river known as "Karban river". Sadabad is located between 4 major cities of Uttar Pradesh: Agra, Mathura, Aligarh and Etah.
It is situated on a major connective road, NH 509, which links Agra to Aligarh via Sadabad, Hathras and Aligarh. It is well connected to Mathura and Raya. Some of its Village panchanyat are Karkoli, Madhaka, Bisawar, Naugawan, Kursanda, Vedai, Jaitai, Arotha, Tasinga, Dagsah, Mansya, Koopa etc.
It is famous for its sweet balushahi and bhalla(aaloo tikki).

As of the 2001 Census of India, [7] Sadabad had a population of 31,737. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. It is approximately 35 km from Agra, The city of Taj Mahal, on National highway 93. Being a semiurban area, economy is based mainly on potato farming.

Uttar Pradesh Provincial Armed Constabulary (UP-PAC) or Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) is an armed police of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is maintained at key locations across the state and active only on orders from the Deputy Inspector General and higher-level authorities. It is usually assigned to VIP duty or to maintain law and order during fairs, festivals, athletic events, elections, and natural disasters. The Provincial Armed Constabulary is equipped with INSAS semi automatic guns and usually carries only lathis while controlling the mob during unrests. UP-PAC consists of a total of 20,000 personnel as of 2005, composed of 33 battalions located in different cities across the state as a wing of Uttar Pradesh Police. Each battalion is commanded by a Commanding Officer(CO) who is usually an IPS officer of Senior Superintendent rank, and has seven to eight companies consisting of 120 to 150 Jawans, each company headed by a State Police officer of Inspector rank, who is usually referred to as company commander in the PAC and below company there are 3 platoons consisting of 40-50 Jawans, each platoon is usually headed by a Sub-Inspector rank state police officer. The PAC is headed by the Additional Director General Provincial Armed Constabulary.
