St. Albert's College is an autonomous liberal arts college located at Kochi, India. It has twenty-three degree courses, twelve postgraduate courses and seven research centres. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the college at the "A" level with an aggregate score of 3.24. St. Albert's College (Autonomous) was ranked as one among the best hundred autonomous colleges in India. [1]

History

The college was founded by late Dr. Joseph Attippetty, the first Indian Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Verapoly. St. Albert's College has been granted autonomous status in 2016 by the UGC. Servant of God Archbishop Joseph Attippetty started a new college at Ernakulam, then the capital of the former State of Cochin. In 1946 the authorized setting up a second grade college, which began functioning on 16 July 1946, in the old St. Albert's High School building, situated in front of the present college campus. Now the college is under the patronage of Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Kalathiparambil, Metropolitan Archbishop of Verapoly.

Lady Doak College (LDC) is the first women's college in Madurai in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was founded in 1948 by Katie Wilcox, an American missionary near Tallakulam in Madurai. Today there are around 3200 students. This number was only 86 at formation. It is named after Helen Doak, the associate founder. The motto of the college consists of three Latin words, 'Semper pro Veritate' and its meaning is "Always for the truth". The college celebrated its 75th anniversary on 14 July 2023. "In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Lady Doak College released a commemorative souvenir titled 'LDC serving generations.' The release event was overseen by Mr. John Devadason, chairman of KWEA, with the first copy received by Ms. V.G. Bhooma. Additionally, the college introduced a book on 'QR Coding of Trees at Lady Doak College,' unveiled by Dr. Daniel Ezhilarasu, a member of KWEA. The book was authored by Dr. Joy Marjorie Annal D, an assistant professor in the Department of Botany, and the first copy was received by Ms. Sherin Someetharan."

St. Paul's College, Kalamassery located at Kochi was founded by Joseph Attipetty, the late Archbishop of Verapoly to commemorate the historic visit of Pope Paul VI to India in connection with the 38th International Eucharistic Congress held in November - December 1964. The foundation stone of the college was blessed by the pope on 3 December 1964 and was solemnly laid by Samuel Mathai, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kerala in the presence of Joseph Attipetty on 13 February 1965. Out of his filial devotion to the Pope, the founder desired that the college be named after the Apostle Paul, the patron saint of the Pope.
