White Cap Mountain is a mountain located in Piscataquis County, Maine. White Cap Mountain is flanked to the east by Hay Mountain, to the south by Big Spruce Mountain and to the southeast by Little Spruce Mountain. [2]

White Cap Mountain lies within the watershed of the Pleasant River, a tributary of the Piscataquis River, which drains into the Penobscot River, and into Penobscot Bay. The east side of White Cap drains into B Inlet Brook, then into B Pond, Guernsey Brook, and the East Branch of the Pleasant River. The north and northwest sides of White Cap drain into the West Branch Ponds, then into the West Branch of the Pleasant River. The south side of White Cap drains into Greenwood Brook, then into the West Branch of the Pleasant.

The Appalachian Trail, a 2,170 mi (3,490 km) National Scenic Trail from Georgia to Maine, runs along the four-mile-long ridge of hills to the east, across the summit of White Cap.

Although officially trailless, a well-defined herd path leads to the summit of Fort from North Brother.

Mount Coe is a mountain located in Piscataquis County, Maine, within Baxter State Park, about 5.5 mi (9 km) northwest of Mount Katahdin. Mt. Coe is flanked to the northeast by South Brother, and to the southwest by Mount O-J-I. The Mount Coe trail starts at Slide Dam on Newsowdnehunk Stream east bank at around 1,190 ft (360 m). The trail goes up to the east for about 1.2 mi (1.9 km) and then goes right (south) along the drainage from the Mt. Coe slide bending to the east and then northeast. The last 0.5 mi (0.80 km) is up the slide featured on the left margin of the photo where the trail gains around 800 ft (240 m).

The West Branch Pleasant River is a 36.1-mile-long (58.1 km) tributary of the Piscataquis River in Piscataquis County, Maine. Elephant Mountain is a mountain located in Bowdoin College Grant West Piscataquis County, Maine. It is about 5 miles (8 km) southeast of Moosehead Lake, 2 miles southwest of Baker Mountain, and 5 miles west of White Cap Mountain.

Seboeis Lake extends from Lake View Plantation, Maine, north into Maine township 4, range 9. The lake is enclosed by rocky headlands and sandy beaches and contains several pine-covered islands. The inlet at the north end receives several tributaries from Long A township including Dean Brook, Jordan Brook, and West Seboeis Stream. Bear Brook flows into the northwest corner of the lake, and Northwest Pond overflows into the west side of the Lake. West Branch Sebois Stream overflows the east side of the lake through Dudley Rips into Endless Lake; and Endless Lake overflow reaches the Piscataquis River 15 miles (24 km) downstream, just 3 miles (4.8 km) upstream of the Piscataquis and Penobscot River confluence at Howland.

A chain of three Jo-Mary Lakes along the border of Penobscot County and Piscataquis County drain into the Pemadumcook Chain of Lakes in the North Maine Woods. The flow sequence is from Upper Jo-Mary Lake into Middle Jo-Mary Lake and then through Lower Jo-Mary Lake into Pemadumcook Lake.
