The 17th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships were held in the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad, between 14–16 July 2006, and organized by the National Amateur Athletic Association of Trinidad & Tobago (NAAATT). The event was open for athletes from the invited countries, that are members of the Central American and Caribbean Athletic Confederation (CACAC), in two categories: Junior A Category: 17 to 19 years as of 31 December 2004, and Junior B Category: 14 to 16 years as of 31 December 2006. The 14th Pan American Junior Athletics Championships were held in São Paulo, Brazil at the Estádio Ícaro de Castro Melo on July 6 to July 8, 2007. A detailed report on the results was given.
The 16th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships were held in the Estadio Rafael Hernández Ochoa in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico, between 25–27 June 2004. The games were originally planned to be held in San Salvador, El Salvador. However, they were relocated to the state of Veracruz in Mexico in early 2004. Both cities of Xalapa and Coatzacoalcos were applicants. A discussion of the results is given.
The 15th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships were held in the National Stadium in Bridgetown, Barbados between 5–7 July 2002. A discussion of the results is given. Usain Bolt of Jamaica set a total of 6 new championship records.
The 14th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships were held in the Estadio Sixto Escobar in San Juan, Puerto Rico between 14–16 July 2000.
The 13th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships were held in the Truman Bodden Sports Complex in Georgetown, Cayman Islands between 10–12 July 1998.
The 12th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships was held in San Salvador, El Salvador, between 14–16 July 1996.
The 1st Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships was held in Maracaibo, Venezuela on 12–15 December 1974, one and a half year after having already hosted the 4th CAC senior championships in July 1973.
The 2nd Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships was held in Xalapa, Mexico, on 26–29 August 1976. The city was already the host of the inaugural CAC senior championships in May, 1967.
The 3rd Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships was held in Xalapa, Mexico, on 25–28 August 1978. This was already the second time that the city was hosting this event after the 2nd junior CAC games in 1976. Moreover, both the inaugural 1st CAC senior championships in 1967 and the VI CAC senior championships in 1977 took place in Xalapa, Veracruz. Both junior (under-20) and youth (under-17) competitions were held.
The 4th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships was held in Nassau, Bahamas, on 22–25 August 1980.

The 6th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships was a junior athletics competition held between the Central American and Caribbean nations, held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on 21–24 June 1984.

The 9th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships were held in Havana, Cuba, between 6–8 July 1990.
