The 2018 F3 Asian Championship was a multi-event, Formula 3 open-wheel single seater motor racing championship held across Asia. The championship features a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula 3 cars that conform to the FIA Formula 3 regulations for the championship. This is the inaugural season of the championship.

Contents

The season commenced on 14 July at Sepang International Circuit and concluded on 25 November at the same venue, after fifteen races to be held at five meetings. [1]

Yifei Ye is a Chinese racing driver who recently competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Hertz Team Jota. He is the 2021 European Le Mans Series and Asian Le Mans Series champion and previously competed in single-seater racing, winning the French F4 championship in 2016 and the Euroformula Open title in 2020. He is also a former member of the Renault Sport Academy and drove in an official capacity for Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific as a Selected Driver from 2021 until 2023.

The Formula Regional Asian Championship is an FIA-certified regional Formula 3 racing series, which started in 2018. On 26 January 2018 it was confirmed that pan-Asian promoter Top Speed would organise the championship. The championship features a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula 3 cars that conform to the FIA Formula 3 regulations for the championship. In the inaugural season of the championship, Frederik Vesti was the drivers' champion.

The 2019–20 F3 Asian Championship was a multi-event, Formula 3 open-wheel single seater motor racing championship held across Asia. The championship featured a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula 3 cars that conform to the FIA Formula 3 regulations for the championship. This was the third season of the championship, which was won by Joey Alders with BlackArts Racing Team.

This was the fourth season of the championship and was won by Guanyu Zhou for Abu Dhabi Racing by Prema.

Amaury Cordeel is a Belgian racing driver who is set to compete in the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship with Hitech Pulse-Eight, having prior raced for Invicta Virtuosi Racing and Van Amersfoort Racing. He has previously raced in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, Formula Renault Eurocup, Toyota Racing Series and F3 Asian Championship, as well as French, ADAC, Italian, UAE, Spanish and SMP F4. He was the 2018 Spanish F4 champion.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Pinnacle Motorsport (Filipino auto racing team)</span> Irish-Filipino auto Racing Team

Pinnacle Motorsport is an Irish licensed, Philippines based motor racing team founded in 2016 by Irish former racers John O'Hara and Gary Thompson. Both have experience at Formula 3 level, the former a race winner in the Asian Formula Three series, and had tested for the A1 Team Ireland, the latter featuring in the Japanese F3 and 2013 F3 European series. While the team began using the PRT Racing name in the 2016 Formula Masters China series and 2016-17 Asian Le Mans Series sprint and endurance LMP3 events, they adopted the Pinnacle Motorsport name from the 2017 season onward. Further involvement in open wheel racing came in China F4 and F3 Asian series. However, both prior to their official formation and throughout their continued operations, Pinnacle have partnered with KCMG to operate many of their motorsport programs across Asia including the Blancpain GT Series Asia GT3Am, Audi R8 LMS Cup, FRD LMP3 Series, Asian Le Mans Series, Asian Formula Renault Series, and the aforementioned Formula Masters China series. A similar partnership also existed in F3 Asia with B-Max Racing.

The 2022 Formula Regional Asian Championship was a multi-event, Formula Regional open-wheel single seater motor racing championship. The championship featured a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula Regional cars. It was the fifth season of the championship, and the first season under the Formula Regional moniker, after a rebrand happened due to the FIA ending the F3 category name.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Nazim Azman</span> Malaysian racing driver

Nazim Azman is a Malaysian racing driver who last competed in the 2023 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. He previously competed in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Hitech Grand Prix. He is a race winner in BRDC Formula 3 and the Euroformula Open Championship.
