The 2025 Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Championship is the third season of the Formula Regional Oceania Championship, and the twentieth running of the premier open-wheel motorsport category formerly known as the Toyota Racing Series It is held in New Zealand over five consecutive weekends in January and February 2025.
The highest placed Australian or Kiwi driver after the first two rounds was awarded the Tasman Cup. In 2025, mtec Motorsport driver Zack Scoular took that title.
All drivers compete with identical Tatuus FT-60 chassis cars powered by 2.0L turbocharged Toyota engines running on 100% fossil-free fuel. [1] [2]

The 2025 race calendar was announced in July of 2024. [22] The championship again consists of five weekends. Highlands Motorsport Park was intended to leave the calendar and be replaced by Teretonga Park, which returned after a one-year absence. However, on 2 September 2024, it was announced that the 69th running of the New Zealand Grand Prix would be held in Highlands Motorsport Park instead of Euromarque Motorsport Park, so the latter will leave the calendar instead. Teretonga is a 2.570 km (1.597 mi) motor racing circuit situated 8 km (5.0 mi) south-west of Invercargill, New Zealand. It is home of the Southland Sports Car Club. The circuit was established in 1957 and is the southernmost FIA-recognised race track in the world. It is also the country's oldest purpose-built venue.
The Hampton Downs Motorsport Park is situated in rural northern Waikato, New Zealand near the Meremere drag strip and the dirt track club.
The Formula Regional Oceania Championship is New Zealand's premier formula racing category. The series includes races for every major trophy in New Zealand circuit racing including the New Zealand Motor Cup and the Denny Hulme Memorial Trophy. The cars are also the category for the New Zealand Grand Prix – one of only two races in the world with FIA approval to use the Grand Prix nomenclature outside Formula One. The series was formerly known as the Toyota Racing Series until 2023.

The series consisted of nine races at three meetings. It began on 24 January at Hampton Downs, in Waikato, and concluded on 14 February at Manfeild, Feilding. The season opener also hosted the 66th running of the New Zealand Grand Prix. The 2021 Toyota Racing Series was the first season in which no individual race teams were running and all drivers were under a Toyota Racing banner. This was due to the COVID situation.

The season was planned to consist of only one two-race weekend at Hampton Downs, with the second race of the weekend hosting the 67th running of the New Zealand Grand Prix, but was cancelled eventually.

The 2025 Formula Regional Americas Championship is scheduled to be the eighth season of a FIA-sanctioned F3/FR-level series across North America, and the sixth season under the Formula Regional moniker after a rebrand in 2020. The series is promoted by SCCA Pro Racing, the professional racing division of the Sports Car Club of America.
The 2025 Formula Regional Japanese Championship is scheduled to be a multi-event, Formula Regional open-wheel single seater motor racing championship held in Japan. The drivers will compete in Formula Regional cars that conform to the FIA Formula Regional regulations for the championship. This will be the sixth season of the series, promoted by K2 Planet, and the 47th overall season of an FIA ladder series in Japan, dating back to the 1979 Japanese Formula 3 Championship.
