The Formula Regional Middle East Championship is an FIA-certified Formula Regional racing series, started in 2023. This championship races in the Emirati venues from the 2022 Formula Regional Asian Championship and Kuwait Motor Town. The promoter of Formula Regional Asian Championship (Top Speed) decided to relaunch Formula Regional Asian Championship in Southeastern Asia, so the championship racing on the Middle Eastern circuits was renamed the Formula Regional Middle East Championship. [1]

Car

The championship features Tatuus-designed and built F3 T-318 cars. [2] The cars include a number of enhanced safety features including the halo. The cars are powered by a 1.75 L (107 cu in) Alfa Romeo TBi/Autotecnica 270 hp (200 kW) turbo engine. [2]

The Formula Regional Asian Championship was an FIA-certified regional Formula 3 racing series, which started in 2018. On 26 January 2018 it was confirmed that pan-Asian promoter Top Speed would organise the championship. Despite using Formula Regional cars since its establishment, the series was called F3 Asian Championship for four years until it was eventually rebranded in December 2021, when the FIA brought an end to F3 as a category.

The Formula 4 South East Asia Championship is a formula racing series run to FIA Formula 4 regulations. The inaugural season was held over 2016 and 2017. The COVID-19 Pandemic put a momentary stop to the championship in 2020, but in 2023, the championship was revived under a new promoter.

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) is a FIA-certified regional European Formula 3 racing series. On 12 October 2018, it was announced that the Italian autosport regulator Automobile Club d'Italia (ACI) and karting promoter WSK would organize the inaugural year of the championship in 2019. Their bid was chosen over Renault Sport's bid with the same chassis, who attracted fewer votes from Single-Seater Commission members. Following the 2020 season, the Formula Renault Eurocup merged with the Formula Regional European Championship to become the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.

The 2023 Formula Regional Middle East Championship was a multi-event, Formula Regional open-wheel single seater motor racing championship. The championship featured a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula Regional cars. It was the inaugural season of the championship, using the venues and dates for what was originally planned to be the Formula Regional Asian Championship, with the Asian Championship then being relaunched in October of the same year.

The 2023 Formula Regional Asian Championship was to be a multi-event, Formula Regional open-wheel single seater motor racing championship. The championship would have featured a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula Regional cars. It would have been the sixth season of the championship, and the second season under the Formula Regional moniker, after a rebrand happened due to the FIA ending the F3 category name.

The 2025 F4 Middle East Championship will be the inaugural season of the F4 Middle East Championship, the successor of the Formula 4 UAE Championship, a motor racing series for the Middle East regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations, and organised and promoted by the Emirates Motorsport Organization (EMSO) and Top Speed.
