F4 Saudi Arabian Championship is a single-seater motorsport series based in Saudi Arabia. The series is run to the FIA's Formula 4 regulations and organized by Altawkilat Meritus.GP. [1]

The inaugural season is held in 2024.

History

Gerhard Berger and the FIA Singleseater Commission launched Formula 4 in March 2013. The goal of the Formula 4 was to make the ladder to Formula 1 more transparent. Besides sporting and technical regulations, costs are also regulated. A car to compete in this category may not exceed €30,000 and a single season in Formula 4 May not exceed €100,000. The series has not been announced for the 2025 season

Format

All weekends are due to run from Thursday to Saturday, with three 45-minute testing sessions on Thursday and an official free practice session on Friday ahead of two qualifying sessions. Then, the first race of the weekend simply uses the order from the first qualifying, while the third race on Saturday will uses the one from the second qualifying. [1]

Car

The cars used in this series are Tatuus F4-T421 powered by an Autotecnica engine. As in the French F4 Championship and F4 Indian Championship, all vehicles compete under a single team, operated by the series organizer Altawkilat Meritus.GP. [1]
