The 2021 Formula 4 United States Championship season was the sixth season of the Formula 4 United States Championship, a motor racing series regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations and sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing, the professional racing division of the Sports Car Club of America.

Race calendar

The 2021 calendar was announced on 5 November 2020. The series held a pre-season test at Virginia International Raceway as well as a Winter Cup at Homestead–Miami Speedway in February and March. Each round is set to feature three races. [26] Later on, the opening rounds at Sonoma Raceway and Laguna Seca were replaced by competitions at Road Atlanta and Road America. [27] The final round was moved forward by two weeks and supported United States Grand Prix. [28]

Notes

  1. Lucas Mann is an American-Canadian driver who entered under the American flag.
  2. The drivers did not complete a full green lap in Race 1, thus it was not counted toward points. Grid for Race 1, including penalties after that race, was re-used for Race 2.
  3. Due to the weather conditions, the qualifying were cancelled. The grid was set by the championship standings.
  4. Noel León and Arias Deukmedjian finished first and second but both were penalized. Mac Clark inherited the win.

Noel Jesús León Vázquez is a Mexican racing driver who is set to compete in the 2025 FIA Formula 3 Championship with Prema Racing, having previously raced with Van Amersfoort Racing in 2024. He is the 2019–20 NACAM F4, 2021 F4 US and the 2023 Euroformula Open champion.

The 2022 USF Juniors championship was the inaugural season of USF Juniors. It became the new first rung of the Road to Indy ladder. The season featured a six-round 16-race calendar, which began April 23 at Ozarks International Raceway and concluded on September 18 at the Circuit of the Americas.

Nicholas "Nico" Christodoulou, is a Canadian racing driver currently competing in the USF2000 Championship, driving for Velocity Racing Development. He competed in the first two rounds of the 2022 Formula Regional Americas Championship with Velocity Racing Development (VRD), and made his debut in the GB3 Championship later in the year as a result of the collaboration between VRD and Arden Motorsport.

The 2023 USF2000 Championshippresented by Cooper Tires was the fourteenth season of the USF2000 Championship since its revival in 2010. When the top rung of the Road to Indy ladder system, Indy Lights, was bought by Penske Entertainment in 2021 and the lower level series changed sanctioning to the United States Auto Club, changes were made to the other championships in the ladder. This, together with the Indy Lights being rebranded to Indy NXT, effectively ended the "Road to Indy" branding, with the three championships below Indy NXT now collectively called "USF Pro Championships Presented by Cooper Tires". The USF2000 Championship served as the middle rung of this ladder.
