French F4 Championship, formerly known as Formula Renault Campus France, Formula Campus, Formul'Academy Euro Series, F4 Eurocup 1.6 is a form of open wheel racing founded in 1993 by Louis Drouet. It is based in France and aims at karting graduates. The series currently organized by the Fédération Française du Sport Automobile (FFSA). Formerly, the champion receives support to continue in one of the Formula Renault 2.0 championships. In 2010, the re-branded series was made part of the World Series by Renault, but was then dropped for 2011. Since 2018, the series runs under FIA moniker.
The 2011 French F4 Championship season was the nineteenth season of the series for 1600cc Formula Renault machinery, and the first season to run under the guise of French F4 Championship. The series began on 9 April at Circuit de Lédenon and ended on 30 October at Circuit Paul Ricard, after seven rounds and fourteen races.
The 2013 French F4 Championship season was the 21st season of the series for 1600cc Formula Renault machinery, and the third season to run under the guise of the French F4 Championship. The series began on 27 April at Le Mans and ended on 27 October at Le Castellet, after seven rounds and twenty-one races.
FIA Formula 4, also called FIA F4, is an open-wheel racing car category intended for junior drivers. There is no global championship, but rather individual nations or regions can host their own championships in compliance with a universal set of rules and specifications.
The 2016 French F4 Championship season was the 24th season of the series for 1600cc Formula Renault machinery, and the sixth season to run under the guise of the French F4 Championship. The series began on 1 April at Le Castellet and ended on 6 November at Montmeló, after six rounds and twenty-four races.
Starting in the 2016–17 season, the Formula 4 UAE Championship was launched by the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile, and its national affiliate the Automobile & Touring Club of the United Arab Emirates (ATCUAE), who acted as the championship's promoter. Currently, the series is governed by the Emirates Motorsport Organisation (EMSO) and promoted by AUH Motorsports.
The 2019 French F4 Championship was the ninth season to run under the guise of the French F4 Championship and the second season under the FIA Formula 4 regulations. The championship used Mygale M14-F4 chassis with an upgraded 2.0 litre engine. The series began on 20 April at Nogaro and ended on 13 October at Le Castellet. Hadrien David, who won seven races throughout the season, won the title, 57.5 points ahead of closest challenger Reshad de Gerus, who came out victorious on four occasions. Sixth-placed Enzo Valente won two races, and Nicky Hays, Victor Bernier, Gillian Henrion, Isack Hadjar, Ugo Gazil, Mikkel Grundtvig and Paul-Adrien Pallot all won one race respectively.
The 2020 French F4 Championship was the tenth season to run under the guise of the French F4 Championship and the third under the FIA Formula 4 regulations. The championship used Mygale M14-F4 chassis. For 2020, the series used a new 1.3-liter turbocharged engine produced by Renault Sport, replacing the previously used 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine. The series began on 21 August at Circuit Paul Armagnac and ended on 22 November at Circuit Paul Ricard.
Hadrien David is a French racing driver who currently races in the Formula Regional European Championship part-time with Monolite Racing, having previously competed with R-ace GP for the previous two years. He was the youngest FIA Formula 4 Champion when he won the French F4 Championship in 2019, at the age of 15. He was the 2021 Formula Regional European runner-up.
The 2021 French F4 Championship was the 11th season to run under the guise of the French F4 Championship and the fourth under the FIA Formula 4 regulations. The championship used Mygale M14-F4 chassis. The series began on 3 April at Circuit Paul Armagnac and ended on 24 October at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours.
Arthur Rougier is a French racing driver who is currently competing in the ADAC GT Masters with Emil Frey Racing. He was the 2017 French F4 champion and part of the Renault Sport Academy the following year.
Victor Bernier is a French racing driver who currently drives for Martinet by Alméras in the Porsche Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup France series. Prior to that, the Frenchman won the French F4 Junior title in 2019 and scored podiums in the Formula Regional European Championship.
The 2022 French F4 Championship was the 12th season to run under the guise of the French F4 Championship and the fifth under the FIA Formula 4 regulations. The championship switched to Mygale M21-F4 chassis. The series began on 16 April at Circuit Paul Armagnac and ended on 16 October at Circuit Paul Ricard.
Tim Tramnitz is a German racing driver who is set to compete in the 2025 FIA Formula 3 Championship for MP Motorsport, having competed with the team in 2024. He is the 2021 Italian F4 and ADAC F4 runner-up, and he also finished third in the 2023 Formula Regional European Championship.
Esteban Masson is a Canadian-French racing driver who is the 2021 French F4 and the 2023 Eurocup-3 champion. He is set to compete in the Super Formula Lights with TOM'S. He previously competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Akkodis ASP Team in the Lexus RC F GT3 alongside José María López and Takeshi Kimura. He is part of the TGR Driver Challenge Program.
