The 2020 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour was an endurance race that was staged on the Mount Panorama Circuit near Bathurst, in New South Wales, Australia on 2 February 2020. The event was open to cars in GT and touring car classes, namely GT3 and GT4. It was the 18th running of the Bathurst 12 Hour, and the opening round of both the 2020 Intercontinental GT Challenge and the 2020 Australian Endurance Championship.

Contents

39 cars were entered and 34 cars started, with five entries withdrawn following crashes in practice & qualifying.

No entries were recorded for Class B, for Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo, Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and new Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo spec vehicles.

The Bathurst 12 Hour, currently known as the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour for sponsorship reasons, is an annual endurance race for GT and production cars held at the Mount Panorama Circuit, in Bathurst, Australia. The race was first held in 1991 for Series Production cars and moved to Sydney's Eastern Creek Raceway in 1995 before being discontinued. The race was revived in 2007, again for production cars, before adding a new class for GT3 and other GT cars in 2011. This has led to unprecedented domestic and international exposure for the event. In all, twenty one races have taken place; twenty at Mount Panorama and one at Eastern Creek Raceway.

The event, which was staged at the Mount Panorama Circuit, near Bathurst, in New South Wales, Australia on 26 February 2012, was the tenth running of the Bathurst 12 Hour, and the sixth since the race was revived in 2007.

The 2013 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour was an endurance race for a variety of GT and touring car classes, including: GT3 cars, GT4 cars, Group 3E Series Production Cars and Dubai 24 Hour cars. The event, which was staged at the Mount Panorama Circuit, near Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia, on 10 February 2013, was the eleventh running of the Bathurst 12 Hour. The race also incorporated the opening round of the 2013 Australian GT Championship. The Australian GT Championship was to compete as the first hour only and cars were permitted to enter for only that hour or to cross-enter for both the first hour and continue for the endurance race.

The 16th running of the Bathurst 12 Hour constituted the opening round of the 2018 Intercontinental GT Challenge Series. As per the previous year, the winners of the race were awarded the Australian Tourist Trophy.

The 2019 British GT Championship was the 27th British GT Championship, a sports car championship promoted by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO). The season began on 20 April at Oulton Park and finished on 15 September at Donington Park, after ten rounds held over seven meetings.

The 2020 Intercontinental GT Challenge was the fifth season of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. The season again features five rounds, starting with the Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour on 2 February and concluding with the Kyalami 9 Hours on 12 December. Dennis Olsen is the defending Drivers' champion and Porsche is the defending Manufacturers' champion.

The 2020 British GT Championship was the 28th British GT Championship, a sports car championship promoted by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO). The season began on 2 August at Oulton Park and finished on 8 November at Silverstone, after nine races held over seven meetings.

The 2021 Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS was an Australian motor sport competition for GT cars. The series incorporated the "Motorsport Australia GT Championship", the "Motorsport Australia Endurance Championship", the "GT3 Trophy Series" and the "GT4 Cup", however the Endurance Championship could not be contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Motorsport Australia GT Championship was the 25th running of an Australian GT Championship. This was the first season of the championship being jointly managed by Australian Racing Group (ARG) and SRO Motorsports Group.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2021 Indianapolis 8 Hours</span>

The 2021 Indianapolis 8 Hours was an endurance race held on 17 October 2021 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, in Indiana, United States. The event was open to cars in GT classes, namely GT3 and GT4. It was the second running of the Indianapolis 8 Hour. It was also the second leg of the 2021 Intercontinental GT Challenge and the seventh and final race of the 2021 GT World Challenge America. The GT World Challenge America results were determined by the race results after three hours instead of the full eight hours.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2022 Bathurst 12 Hour</span>

The 2022 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour was an endurance race staged on the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia, on 15 May 2022. It was the opening round of the 2022 Intercontinental GT Challenge. The race was originally planned to be held on 27 February 2022, but was postponed to May due to concerns with the COVID-19 quarantine regulations of Australia.

SRO GT2 is a class of Grand tourer racing cars aimed at gentleman drivers and maintained by the SRO Motorsports Group. Despite the name, this class slots between GT4 and GT3 in terms of performance. The class also shouldn’t be confused with the Group GT2 from the early 2000s. The class uses a Balance of performance to allow for close competition between competitors.

It is the opening round of seven in the 2024 GT World Challenge Australia and the opening round of four in the 2024 Intercontinental GT Challenge.

The 2024 Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS is an Australian motor sport competition for GT cars. The series incorporates the "Motorsport Australia GT Championship", the "Motorsport Australia Endurance Championship" and the "GT3 Trophy Series". The Motorsport Australia GT Championship is the 28th running of an Australian GT Championship. This will be the first season of the championship being solely managed by the SRO Motorsports Group. The season will begin on 18 February at the Bathurst 12 Hour at Mount Panorama Circuit and end on 10 November, also at Mount Panorama Circuit.
