On March 30, 2017, Baoji's transit system plan passed the technical review of the Provincial Housing and Construction Department. [5] On April 26, 2018, the Baoji Transit Project's environmental impact report passed inspection by the Ministry of Environmental Protection. [6]

Line 3 of the Hangzhou Metro is a metro line in Hangzhou. The line is 57.5 km long. It will run in a southwest-northeast direction between Wushanqiancun station in Yuhang District and Xingqiao station in Linping District in the east, passing through downtown Hangzhou and providing transfers with multiple other lines in the system. The line uses 6-car Type AH rolling stock, which is designed for exclusive use in Hangzhou.

Bengbu Rail Transit is a rapid transit monorail system and a tram system under construction and planned in Bengbu, Anhui, China. It will connect the urban area of Bengbu with Huaiyuan and Fengyang counties, which are under Bengbu and Chuzhou's administration, respectively. According to the plan it will be constructed in three phases. Once completed it will have a total length of 187.3 km (116.4 mi) on 6 lines. In 2020, the draft of the standard of the tram was published.

Shuqian Lu station is a planned station of Line 10 of Guangzhou Metro. It is planned to be built underground on the north side of Miaoqianzhi Street in Yuexiu District, near Dongshankou station. Due to the lack of transparency of the planning process and the site selection of Dongshan, the historical core area of Guangzhou, this site has caused controversy and attracted much attention.
Line S5 is a planned rapid transit line connecting Nanjing and Yangzhou. It will be 57.61 kilometres (35.80 mi) long and have a maximum operating speed of 160 kilometres per hour (99 mph). Initially 4 car Type A trains will be used but the line is designed for expansion to 6 car trains in the future. The line will have passing loops at select stations allowing for express and local services to be offered. Local services are expected to take 45 minutes to run end to end and express services will shorten end to end travel times to 34 minutes. Construction started on December 28, 2021. The line is planned to open in 2026.
Line 11 of Foshan Metro (FMetro) (Chinese: 佛山地铁11号线; pinyin: Fóshān Dìtiě Shíyīhàoxiàn) is a line under planning in Foshan. The first phase of the line will run in a north–south direction, connecting Hedongdong in Liwan District in Guangzhou with Rongqi Ferry in Shunde District, with 18 stations and 36.3 km (22.6 mi) kilometers of track.
