Camp Havedonit was a satellite camp of Camp Edwards. It was located in Osterville, Massachusetts.

History

Camp Havedonit, was used by the United States Army Corps of Engineers as a landing area during World War II. It was located on the Crosby Yacht property, famous builders of the Crosby Catboat. It was paired up with Camp Washburn and Camp Candoit, which were both located nearby.

Zeno Scudder American politician

Zeno Scudder was the son of Deacon Josiah and Hannah Scudder. He was a member of the United States House of Representatives from Massachusetts. He was born in Osterville, Massachusetts on August 18, 1807. He wanted to follow the sea, but a paralysis of his right leg made that impossible. He studied medicine at Bowdoin College but his lameness hindered his practice so he decided to take up law at the Cambridge Law School. He was admitted to the bar in 1856 and conducted a lucrative practice in Barnstable, Massachusetts. Scudder was a member of the Massachusetts Senate 1846–1848 and served as Senate President.

The Osterville Baptist Church is an historic Baptist church building at 824 Main Street in the Osterville village of Barnstable, Massachusetts. The white clapboarded wood-frame structure was built in 1837 for a congregation formed two years earlier. It is one of the older buildings in Osterville, and is a fine example of the Greek Revival with Gothic Revival elements. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

101 Gang Songs is an LP recorded in December 1960 by Bing Crosby for his own company, Project Records and distributed by Warner Bros. and the RCA Victor Record Club in 1961 with lyric sheets to help the listener join in with the singing. Spread over two records, the album consists of twenty-four medleys of old songs in a sing-along format. Bing Crosby sings on all of the tracks except those marked with an asterisk. The chorus and orchestra accompaniment, arranged and conducted by Jack Halloran, was pre-recorded with Crosby over-dubbing his vocals.
