The Central African Red Cross Society (French : Croix-Rouge centrafricaine), abbreviated CRCA, was founded in 1966. It has its head in Bangui, Central African Republic. [1] [2]

Bangui is the capital and largest city of the Central African Republic. It was established as a French outpost in 1889 and named after its location on the northern bank of the Ubangi River ; the Ubangi itself was named from the Bobangi word for the "rapids" located beside the settlement, which marked the end of navigable water north from Brazzaville. In 1973, the French Minister of Finance, future president Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, was offered two diamonds from the President of the Central African Republic, Jean-Bédel Bokassa. The affair was unveiled by the satiric newspaper Le Canard Enchaîné on October 10, 1979, towards the end of Giscard's presidency.

The Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society (TTRCS) was founded on 12 July 1939 as a Branch of the British Red Cross Society. It has its headquarters in Port of Spain, with branches in the North and South of the island of Trinidad and one branch on the island of Tobago. Following the attainment of independence in 1962, the TTRCS became an Independent Society by Act No. 15 of 1963. On 8 August 1963, the TTRCS became part of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. The Burkinabé Red Cross Society was founded in 1961. It is headquartered in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

The Belize Red Cross Society was founded in 1950 by Dr. Daniel Tenenbaum of Belmopan City Hospital. Previously it was part of the British Red Cross. It has its headquarters in Belize City.

The São Tomé and Príncipe Red Cross was founded in 1976. It has its headquarters in São Tomé.

The Palau Red Cross Society was founded in 1977. It has its headquarters in Koror.

The Kiribati Red Cross Society was founded in 1965. It has its headquarters in Bairiki, Kiribati.

The Papua New Guinea Red Cross Society, also known as PNGRCS, was founded in 1977 and has its headquarters in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
