Richard Hutson was an American lawyer, judge, and politician from Charleston, South Carolina. He represented South Carolina as a delegate to the Continental Congress, where he signed the Articles of Confederation. After the British captured Charleston in 1780, he was held as a prisoner at St. Augustine, Florida for a time. After he returned home, he served as the eighth Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina under Governor John Mathews in 1782 and 1783.

The 1999 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup ran from June to October 1999, open to all soccer teams in the United States. It was the first Open Cup tournament to be named after Lamar Hunt. The Rochester Raging Rhinos of the A-League defeated the Colorado Rapids 2–0 in the final at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. The Rhinos became the only non-division one team to win the Open Cup title since the inception of Major League Soccer by defeating four MLS teams in the tournament. Another A-League team - the Charleston Battery - also reached the semifinals, and the A-League's Staten Island Vipers were the other non-division one squad to beat an MLS team.
Daniel Elliott Huger was a United States Senator from South Carolina. Born on Limerick plantation, Berkeley County, his father was Daniel Huger, a Continental Congressman and U.S. Representative from South Carolina. Daniel Elliott pursued classical studies in Charleston and graduated from the College of New Jersey in 1798. He studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1799, beginning practice in Charleston. In 1800 he married Isabella Johannes Middleton-daughter of Declaration of Independence signer Arthur Middleton. He was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 1804 to 1819 and from 1830 to 1832, and was a brigadier general of State troops in 1814. He was judge of the circuit court from 1819 to 1830, and was a member of the South Carolina State Senate from 1838 to 1842. He was an opposition member of the State nullification convention in 1832.

TD Arena is a 5,100 seat multi-purpose arena in Charleston, South Carolina, United States that opened in 2008 and replaced John Kresse Arena as the home of the College of Charleston Cougars basketball and volleyball teams. The South Financial Group of Greenville, purchased the naming rights to the new facility and it opened in 2008 under the Carolina First Arena name. After the 2010 sale of the corporation to Toronto Dominion Bank, the arena's name changed to TD Arena. Stage Coach Road, also designated County Route 524, is the main road that runs through the settlement, with Ely Harmony Road as the intersecting road defining the locality. The Manalapan Brook runs to the west of the center of Charleston Springs and CR 537 runs to the south of the area. The Monmouth County-owned Charleston Springs Golf Course is located one mile (1.6 km) northeast of the center of Charleston Springs on CR 527.
Ely is an unincorporated community located within Millstone Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The settlement is named for the Ely family that owned property in the area and operated the Charleston Springs hotel. Today, the settlement is located along Stage Coach Road, County Route 524, in the eastern portion of the township. Most of the area consists of large single-family homes though some farmland and the township-owned Brandywine Soccer Complex are located in the near the settlement.
The King's Highway Historic District covers the portions of U.S. Route 206 and New Jersey Route 27 in New Jersey that connect Lawrenceville with Kingston through Princeton. This historic roadway dates to colonial times and was a portion of the King's Highway that was laid out by order of Charles II of England to connect Boston with Charleston. It is lined with many institutions and sites that have played an important role in the History of the United States, including Princeton University and the Princeton Theological Seminary.
General George Washington at Trenton is a large full-length portrait in oil painted in 1792 by the American artist John Trumbull of General George Washington at Trenton, New Jersey, on the night of January 2, 1777, during the American Revolutionary War. This is the night after the Battle of the Assunpink Creek, also known as the Second Battle of Trenton, and before the decisive victory at the Battle of Princeton the next day. The artist considered this portrait "the best certainly of those which I painted." The portrait is on view at the Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven, Connecticut, an 1806 gift of the Society of the Cincinnati in Connecticut. It was commissioned by the city of Charleston, South Carolina, but was rejected by the city, resulting in Trumbull painting another version.
