Unni Krishnan, U. C. Raman [5] , As of 2012, the IUDL Kerala State President of U.C. Raman, its state secretary M.P. Gopi and state treasurer Balan.

The United Democratic Front (UDF) is the Indian National Congress-led alliance of centre to centre-right political parties in the Indian state of Kerala. It is one of the two major political alliances in Kerala, the other being Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led Left Democratic Front, each of which has been in power alternately since 1980 E. K. Nayanar ministry. Most of the United Democratic Front constituents are members of the Indian National Congress-led United Progressive Alliance at pan-India level.

The Marad massacres were two incidences of religious violence that occurred in 2002 and 2003 at Marad Beach in Kerala, India. The 2002 incident led to five deaths; three Hindus and two Muslims were killed when scuffles that began as a trivial altercation over drinking water at a public tap became violent. Out of 393 people arrested, 62 were members of Indian Union Muslim League was convicted for life imprisonment.

He was first elected to Kerala Legislative Assembly in 2006. He was an Associate Professor of History at P. S. M. O. College, Tirurangadi. He previously served as Minister of Local Administration, Government of Kerala.

The issue of child marriage among Muslims in Kerala was addressed by a circular issued on 14 June 2013 by the social-welfare department of the Indian Union Muslim League. The circular instructs marriage registrars to register Muslim marriages even if the parties have not attained the age fixed by the Child Marriage Act. Political parties and Muslim women's organisations have said that this would encourage child marriages. Following an amendment, only underage marriages occurring before 28 June 2013 could be registered. Nine prominent Muslim organisations in Kerala took legal action seeking exemption from the community marriage-age restrictions, saying that the minimum marriage age for women as well as its Supreme Court endorsement infringe on the Muslim law.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">1965 Kerala Legislative Assembly election</span>

The Kerala Legislative Assembly election of 1965 was held to elect members to the third Niyamasabha. Communist Party of India (Marxist), which was the splinter faction of Communist Party of India, emerged as the largest party in the assembly with 40 seats, followed by Indian National Congress with 36. However no single party could form a ministry commanding majority and hence this election is considered abortive. On March 25, President's rule was invoked for the fourth time.

United Front, known until 1971 as Mini Front (1970–1971) and as Maxi Front (1971–1979) thereafter, was a coalition of political parties in Kerala state, India, which was the ruling combine in the state from 1970 to 1979. The coalition was formed by five political parties immediately before the 1970 Kerala Legislative Assembly election. It saw the inclusion a few other parties in the following years.

M. Geethanandan is an Indian social activist working on political and economic issues faced by tribals and dalits in the state of Kerala, India. He co-founded the Adivasi Gothra Mahasabha along with C.K. Janu and others. He has been involved in organising several protests and struggles of Adivasis (tribes) and Dalits, notably the Muthanga agitation, an incident of police firing on the Adivasis in the Muthanga village of Wayanad district, Kerala.

Maruti Manpade (1956-2020) was a Communist leader in India who campaigned on a wide variety of causes such as farmers’ issues, implementation of Swaminathan Commission recommendations, Devadasi women rights and Dalit rights. He was a successful organizer who led agitations against privatization of electricity, the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 and National Register of Citizens, land theft, and exploitation of workers. He was a member of the State Secretariat of Karnataka of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He was also a member of the executive committee of All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS), the farmers’ union affiliated to CPI(M). He contested in Lok Sabha and Karnataka Assembly elections for a combined total of four times and managed to get a significant share of the votes each time. He also contested in local self-government elections twice and was elected to the District Panchayat in 1986.

Firos also known as PK Firos at Kunnamangalam, Kozhikode District, is an Indian politician and youth wing state leader of Muslim Youth League, politician from the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) party from Kerala. He is an advocate by profession and also currently serves as the General Secretary,MYL Kerala State Committee. he is Tanur constituency of iuml Candidate in 2021 at Tanur Assembly constituency Kerala Legislative Assembly He is also a digital influencer. He is a prominent political leader in Kerala politics. His involvement in Muslim League politics as a youth member is notable, and as a youth leader he organized strikes and protests against the anti-people stance of the ruling party.
