Slab City, also called The Slabs, is largely a snowbird community in the Sonoran Desert located in Imperial County, California, 100 miles (161 km) northeast of San Diego and 169 miles (272 km) southeast of Los Angeles within the California Badlands, and used by recreational vehicle owners and squatters from across North America. It took its name from concrete slabs that remained from the abandoned World War II Marine Corps barracks of Camp Dunlap.

The Second Congregational Church in New York, organized in 1825, was a Unitarian congregation which had three permanent homes in Manhattan, the second of which became a theater after they left it. In 1919 the congregation became non-denominational and changed its name to Community Church of New York. The same year, its church on 34th Street was damaged by fire. Since 1948 the congregation has been located at 40 East 35th Street, in a sanctuary shared with the Metropolitan Synagogue of New York.
David Lewis Dunlap was an American football player and coach of football, basketball, and baseball, college athletics administrator, and physician. He played football for the University of Michigan's "Point-a-Minute" teams from 1901 to 1903 and 1905. Dunlap was the head football coach and athletic director at Kenyon College in 1906, at the University of North Dakota from 1907 to 1911, and at Allegheny College in 1912. He also coached basketball and baseball at North Dakota and basketball at Allegheny.
