Ralphs is an American major supermarket chain in the Southern California area and the largest subsidiary of Cincinnati-based Kroger. It is the oldest such chain west of the Mississippi River and by 2015, there were 200 locations. Kroger also operates stores under the Food 4 Less and Foods Co. names in California.
Sir Anthony James Leggett, has been a professor of physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since 1983. Leggett is widely recognised as a world leader in the theory of low-temperature physics, and his pioneering work on superfluidity was recognised by the 2003 Nobel Prize in Physics. The San Diego Barracudas were a southern Californian professional inline hockey team which existed from 1993 through 1996. The Barracudas were a part of Roller Hockey International. The team's home games were played at the San Diego Sports Arena. They relocated to Ontario, California in the 1998 and 1999 seasons, known as the Ontario Barracudas to replace the Palm Desert/Ontario Silvercats.

Leggett is a census-designated place in Mendocino County, California. It is located on the South Fork of the Eel River 17 miles (27 km) northwest of Laytonville, at an elevation of 984 feet. It is home to some of the largest trees in the world. Nearby Smithe Redwoods State Reserve and the Standish-Hickey State Recreation Area are noted for their forests of Coastal Redwoods. The population was 122 at the 2010 census.

A post office operated at Bell Springs from 1920 to 1961. The place was named in 1861 by Jim Graham for the cowbells he found at the site. What was once Bell Springs is now the location of the Bell Springs Ranch. Bell Springs Road, 28 miles of steep narrow unpaved mountain road, was originally called Mail Ridge, and was the only through road connecting Mendocino County and Humboldt County before Highway 101 was built.

The Leggett House in Merced, California, also known as Queen Anne Inn, is a historic house located at 352 W. 22nd St. in Merced, California. The house was built in the Queen Anne style of Victorian architecture. Its most prominent feature is the Witch's Cap on its roof, a cone-shaped turret with eight scalloped hips. The home's design also includes a steep shingle roof, gables on the porch and sides of the house, and horizontal shiplap and fish scale shingle siding on its first and second floors respectively. E. M. Herron, a local rancher, built the home in 1884; he later sold it to pioneer and Merced postmaster Thomas H. Leggett, who operated a jewelry store in the house's parlor.
