Overview

As previously announced in 2022, [3] the electric version of the Puma, the Puma Gen-E, was launched on 3 December 2024. [4]

The compact electric crossover SUV is produced at Ford Otosan's plant in Craiova, Romania, [5] with electric drive units manufactured at Ford's Halewood plant in the United Kingdom. [6] It features design elements reminiscent of the larger Mustang Mach-E while maintaining the practical dimensions of the standard Puma. [7]

The vehicle is equipped with a 46.0 kWh lithium-ion battery pack (43.6 kWh usable) powering a front-mounted electric motor that delivers 124 kW (169 PS) of power and 290 Nm of torque, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 8.0 seconds with a top speed of 160 km/h (99 mph). [8] The Puma Gen-E has a WLTP combined range of 376 km (234 miles) and a city range of 523 km (325 miles). [4] [9] Notable features include DC fast charging capability at 100 kW, allowing a 10-80% charge in approximately 23 minutes, [8] [4] and the "GigaBox" underfloor storage compartment that increases boot space to 574 liters, complemented by a 43-liter front trunk. [4] Deliveries to European customers began in spring 2025. [4]
