Hirekoppa K.S. is a village in Belgaum district in the southern state of Karnataka, India. [1] It falls under Ramadurga Taluka of Belgaum (Formerly called Belagavi) district of Karnataka.

Eminent persons:

  1. Dr. D S Karki. (Noble Kannada Poet) famous for his “Hachevu Kannadada Deepa, Karunaada deepa Sirinudiya Deepa”. The village is the birth place of the legendary poet and where he spend most of his childhood moments.
  2. M R Panchagavi (Eminent Advocate and Politician) also known as Gokak Gandhi spent most of his life in this place. He has inspired hundreds of present day politicians to enter politics and serve society.

Dhavaleshwar is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India. It is located in the Mahalingpur taluk of Bagalkot district in Karnataka. Dhavaleshwar is located on the bank of Ghataprabha river. The river bifurcates the Belgaum and Bagalkot districts. Just on the other side of the river, there is one more village which, is also known as Dhavaleshwar. This Dhavaleshwar belongs to Gokak Taluk of Belgaum district. Many politicians promised to build a bridge between both villages, but no one has initiated. The villagers grow sugar cane, which is the source of their income.

Savadi is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India. It is located in the Athani taluk of Belgaum district. Located on the banks of the Krishna river, also called Uttaravahini - which flows northwards at Savadi, most of the population here is largely dependent on agriculture for its sustenance. Animals domesticated are buffaloes, goats, dogs, horse, bullocks, sheep and fowl. Historically being a belt of Jowar cultivation, with the recent irrigation projects near the village, from the past two decades, the chief crop has been sugarcane. Savadi is closely located to many sugar industries of the Krishna basin, and is part of the major supplier belt of sugarcane in Athani Taluk, and consequently Belgaum district.
